getting back into the tutorial area

Post by bewing »

I'd like to get back to the tuturial section to harvest mushrooms, maybe kill a few more rats and goblins, and maybe pick up loot I had to leave behind for encumbrance reasons.

I know this has been covered many times, but I have 2 specific questions:

-- When you are on the quest going back to kill that Dunmer, and you get to the room where you met back up with mr. emperor, if you have a couple paintbrushes with you and you try to climb back up to that hole you came out of ... what heppens? I've searched and searched and nobody seems to ever answer such an obvious question.

-- In the tutorial, the corridor where the zombie comes from has a big hole in the ceiling that goes up into the Subterrane. If you have a paintbrush and go up there, what do you find? Is it really a valid room? Can you use it to get in and out of the tutorial zone?

(I got a paintbrush in the tutorial once, and forgot to try it out until it was too late. )

1) As far as I know, it follows the general rule of loot in explored areas; it stays exactly where you left it. That also includes mobs, so if you didn't kill everything, they will still be there. But no resurrection or anything like that happens, and your loot stays in the same place. I do think, however, that one of the doors in the caves gets locked, but that might have just been me, since my PC isnt the best for 'reliability' on these things.

2) Its just a small boxed room. I got curious about that myself and no-clipped into it. There's sod all in there. I think its just there to give a bit of light or something.
ERROR:The Post above requires more smeg.
