So Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time has been one of my favorite games since it came out on the original xbox, but I never got around to playing the other ones. So I decided to go get the other three games(yes, including the Forgotten Sands), and play them all chronological order.
I felt that the Forgotten Sands was alright and stayed true to the first one, but I'm a little disappointed so far into the Warrior Within. Yeah the Dahaka and the Shadow dude are cool, but the atmosphere feels more like God of War, that is dark and violent. Gone is the class from the previous game. I don't like this new gothic anti-hero they dare call the Prince. He has no interesting personality what so ever, and every thing he does just spits on all his character and development from the first one! Plus all of the scantly dressed women make me feel like I'm playing some asian fantasy game.
I fear that this will tarnish my high regard for this franchise, so for any other Persia fans out there, please tell me it gets better! I haven't beat it yet or played the Two Thrones.

Re: The Sands of Time Trilogy
Moved this to the right subforum, and now I can say: heck yeah, I love the Prince of Persia! It's an amazing series. I've always loved action and puzzles, so a game that can combine them both is a win for me. I'm actually playing one on the Xbox now (can't remember which title it is off the top of my head), but my favorite ones were on the PS2 back in the day. Those were awesome.
I did play it when it debuted on the PS3 and it was all right - didn't blow my mind or anything, but I enjoyed it a great deal as well. That female lead was annoying as hell and the end...I mean, what was that? What was that.

Re: The Sands of Time Trilogy
I don't need to play Prince of Persia. 'Cause I'm already the prince of Persia.

Re: The Sands of Time Trilogy
i have Played Sands of Time , Warrior Within, and The Two Thrones
Sand of Time : really really great game, great puzzles, great main character with good side characters, and great setting (the palace was nicest on this one)
Warrior Within : while the combat has been improved, and the Acrobatics expanded, they lost their personality in this one, the prince is a depressing moron, and everyone else is a 3 thirds naked woman, put some damn clothes on !! oh and the puzzles were good ... but the double ending nonsense was irritating, getting the Good ending was impossible without a walkthrough ! the places they want you to go ...
The Two Thrones : it was nice of them to return the prince to his older personality, and playing in the city for a while was great, the combat was just as good as WW, but the story was freaky, and i dont like the Dark Prince idea, too many quick time events, and the puzzles sagged a little bit
never played Forgotten Sands, though

Re: The Sands of Time Trilogy
I only really played Sands of Time, and loved every second of it. Don't know why I never got the others though... But otherwise, just the location, the feel, puzzles and action makes it one game I should definitely try to get hold of again.
