Go a pickpocketing!
Jean Pierre Lemonds in Silverholme, Bravil, and Pell's Gate Gal (the one that wanders about there with arrows on her back, there are only 3 or 4 inhabitants all tog, shouldn't be too difficult to work out which she is!).
Both these chars have magic arrows just waiting for you to nick. As you level up, they get more and more arrows. Each time you enter the area where they are the type and number of arrows is fixed, so you might want to save before visiting.
These do seem to be specifically arrows for the player to pickpocket, cause they are directly associated with your level, and when you do nick them, they're not marked as stolen.
p.s. why do you want an Arrow of Harm anyhow? It's not a v. strong Enchanted arrow.

And best enchantment is using a Grand Soul at one of the Enchanting alters, def far better than Sigil Stones.GamingSoldier wrote:Best bow? Damage wise? Enchantment wise? Damage wise would be a daedric longbow.

Arrows bounce off of skeletons which is handy since any other summoned critter will take all the arrows with them when they disappear. Use an iron or rusty iron bow with iron arrows. Pick up the arrows every 15 shots or so or they'll all disappear. At a gold a pop even iron arrows can start to get expensive. If your armor and armorer skills aren't maxed you might as well fight at point blank range.

One way to get arrows for free....Pherdnut wrote:Arrows bounce off of skeletons which is handy since any other summoned critter will take all the arrows with them when they disappear. In the Arena, at the blood works, there is this gladiator chap who just shoots arrow at a target for practise.... after he shoots, just go and pick up his arrow.... he will go to the target to pick his arrows after 4-5 shots, so make sure you pick them up before he do.... seems like he never runs out of arrows... i've probably taken >200 iron (or issit steel) arrows this way... and you are picking up the arrows and not stealing it....
Every now and then when his bow has been damaged to 0%, he'll drop it and stop the shooting. Just pick up the bow and repair it for him, and drop it back on the floor. He'll repay your kindness by shooting more arrows.

The two people I said earlier about pickpocketing are by far the best source of Magic Arrows that I've found in the game.Dan Reynolds wrote:oh i havent come across that yet
does eny1 know where i can find "Arrow of Immolation"
Once you get into your 20's level wise (I presume, or maybe it's because I've been working on my luck??), you often get some in Fort Nikel.
I collect Magic Arrows, so if you do find anywhere else that you can regularly find them, I'd be interested to hear.

A mare is a full-grown female horse. yup. fillies. Young, not necessarily small. small are ponies/minis, even old. And a very young horse is a foal.Hardcore Heathen wrote: A mare is a full-grown female horse. Males are stallions (full-grown) or colts (young) small female horses are phillies(sp.)
But yeah, a mare is a female horse. Likely shadowmEre was a typo that stuck too.
There once was a Prince named Mehrunes
Whose buttocks sounded sonorous tunes
‘Twas an odiferous song
People sang before long
They had enough of his full crescent moons.

1. Everyone forgot Trainers. It's quick, but costs, but it is 5 skill levels.1. what's the best way to raise your marksman lvl
2. where can i got the arrows of harm (xbox 360)
3. whats the best bow
Basic - Edla Dark-Heart - Regner's house in south Bruma
Basic - Shameer - West of Skingrad's Great Chapel of Julianos
Advanced - Pinarus Inventius - Anvil
Advanced - Reman Broder - southwest corner of Skingrad
Master - Alawen - Troll Candle Camp east of Anvil
Basic (0-40), - Advanced (0-70), - Master (71-100)
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Trainers
2. Most items are random, so there is no way to know when/where you are going to get them. They are also leveled, so you won't get certain ones until you reach a certain Level:
Level Weapon
1 Iron
2 Steel
4 Silver
6 Dwarven
9 Elven
12 Glass
16 Ebony
20 Daedric
Arrows of Harm are Elven, so you won't see them until level 9. There are alot more arrows out there, which are better:
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Ammunition#Magic
You also don't get them in large quanities, so it's not like you can have 100's of them. Usually, the most NPC's have of magic arrows, is 5 each. Not sure if the Dup Glitch will work with Arrows, as I've never done it.
3. Daedric Bows & Arrows are the best, but since you don't get them until Level 20, this list will help you know which to look for at each level:
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Weapons#Bows
Don't forget Poisons: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Alche ... ul_Potions

There seem to be a number of level-dependent supplies of Magic Arrows in the game, avialable from particular NPCs that increase their stock of Magic Arrows depending on your level.
When you pickpocket these NPCs, the arrows are not marked as stolen. If you don't pickpocket them, they just keep building up the arrows that they're holding as your levels increase, though it's not every level that makes their stocks increase. Even after you've first pickpocketed, they still get more Magic Arrows as your levels increase. They basically just hold them for you.
From what I've seen, it seems that the type and quantity of Arrows is fixed each time you go through the "cell" that they are in, provided you've increased sufficiently in level since you last passed through. Once the type and quantity of Arrows they hold for your current level is fixed, it does not change, no matter how long it is before you actually take them (that’s what I’ve found anyhow). So if you're after a partics type of Arrow, you could try saving first, then go visiting.
The type and quantity of Arrows for each level that triggers a new set (though you can get the same type more than once, and just the quantity increases) are limited, and you don't seem to get the stronger arrows till you're at a sufficiently high level (not sure if it's just dependent on the type of basic arrow the Magic Arrow is based on, or if it's also the strength of enchantment on the Arrow).
The 4 I've come across so far are (I like to collect Magic Arrows, so do go looking):
Jean Pierre Lemond - Silverholme in Bravil (sleeps upstairs after about 2am and is pretty easy to pickpocket then)
"Pell's Gate Gal" - wanders around Pell's Gate (immediately south of the Imperial City Waterfront district)
The Dunmer (I think! It’s an archer based char anyhow) in Boethia's quest - this is a once only chance, so I'm leaving this to do as late as poss
Torbal - Brindle Home (somewhere between Skingrad and Chorrol), at least for my char, he is by far the most difficult to pickpocket.
I've only just started DB questline, so am looking forward to adding another to the list, thanks Dan.

I was playing with the Construction Set, and figured some might be interested on how the dermination of what type of magic arrows are found. I chose just one magic arrow type, Arrow of Immolation:
Arrow of Immolation - EncArrow6GlassFireArea - EncArrowFireStrong - Fire Damage 65, Area 10

LVL1 - LL0LootArrow6GlassFireArea75

That is pretty simple, but it is not that set, it is actually rather random, after that.

I'm not going to list all the possible Enchantments, since there are quite a few, but that should give you the idea. Plus from what I understand, with the Leveling System, once you are level 6, you will not find the level 4 ones (correct me if I'm wrong).

I've recently found two more sources, which most of you prob already know about. One was the various chests in the Living Quarters that belong to members in the Cheydinhal Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary. The other was the Argonian Archer in the Blackwood company.
I can't be completely sure, but I am pretty sure that I found the weakest level Magic Arrows in both (fire damage 5pts). Though for the Blackwood company, I poss did have a nosey around when I first got to Leyawiin, so that might have influenced that. I'm currently level 30.
Any idea where "Dark Teinaava Chest " might be found?? Or is it one of the ones in the Sanctuary?

So if I want to find Arrows of Immolation, which are actually rather rare, compared to other Magic Arrows, I have to be Level 14-17, and look in the following places:
Dark Teinaava Chest
Dark Teinava Chest (75% Chance)
Dark Sell Chest
Telaendril Chest
or kill/pickpocket Jean Pierre Lemonds (50% Chance)
Plus, there are 4 other types of arrows that I could end up with instead, so I have a 1 in 5 chance of scoring the Arrows I wanted. There are only 5 places to find them, plus there would only be 6 each time, so I could get 30 (if I killed Jean).
Now on the issue of Pickpocketing Jean, I'm not sure how that works. From what I've heard, you could keep pickpocketing him, and get unlimited free magic arrows.
From what I've seen in the CS, there are fixed items, and there are leveled items. In containers, leveled items respawn/restock. If an NPC has a leveled item(s), it appears that they also restock, sort of making them containers too. At least that is what I'm hearing from others. I have not seen that written anywhere.
What about the type of item(s) locking? I've heard people say that once you enter a cell, it locks the item in the container. However, that is not ture with Sigil Stones. They are not fixed items, they are leveled items. It might just be that when they checked, it was just by chance they got the same item(s).
