Completed Map of the Western Hemisphere of Nirn!!

Post by Rayze »

So after countless hours of researching and referencing, I've finally completed my map of the western hemisphere of Nirn. Let me know what you guys think! :)

Note: You'll probably have to download to see it in full detail

Side-Note: I couldn't get the Img thing to work so just replace "(dot)" with "."

Excellent! Good job on the map! I should download it and mark it as my wallpaper.

Or make it into a poster and put it on my wall. My physical, real life wall. Not Facebook.

You know that Pyandonea map is unofficial, right? It's based off some random sprite from Daggerfall.

Yes, I'm aware. I've only added it in because of how widely accepted that it is Pyandonea.

Thanks a ton guys! After taking a closer look, I noticed that a missed a few things. I misspelled at least one thing(Taneth in Hammerfell), forgot a few islands/landmarks, I'm adding some graphics to show forests, and I think I'm going to add some graphics to the oceans much like old maps of the sea.

I'm glad you mentioned this before me legoless  Regardless, the map is accurate to generally accepted theories on the character of Nirn, aesthetically appealing and well polished. Very nicely done

Map of the Western Hemisphere of Nirn (REVISITED)

Post by Rayze »

If anyone here is an artist, they know what it's like to never be satisfied with his/her final product. Such was the case with myself, and I've updated my art and I've added graphics to represent forests, seas, sea monsters/ships, and revised some spelling mistakes.

Please, let me know what you think :D

Fort Frostmoth is no longer considered a major population center as of 4E202. In fact, it's deserted and full of undead. Raven Rock on the other hand is a booming town. You could consider that for future alterations. This is based on the Dragonborn DLC content.

We're not sure what condition the old towns and cities in Morrowind are in. There are a few references in Dragonborn and vanilla Skyrim that Mournhold and Blacklight has people living in them, and Blacklight is the new capital of Morrowind. I'd assume many of the other towns and cities were destroyed or deserted decades ago.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

Thank you Pilaf. I have yet to play any of the dlc's yet, so I wasn't aware of this factD: I'm holding out for Christmas, which is proving very difficult, but I'm glad you said something!

Is it too much to ask people to put Skyrim DLC spoilers in spoilers?

Anyway it is a nice map.

The one thing that would complete this map is if you added Giant Enemy Mudcrab off the coast of one of the Pangaea.
