Baurus is a Wimp.

I am playing with a mod that strips the plot-critical NPC's of their immortal status.

Baurus was killed by a goblin in the sewers.

It reminded me of when he said "I think you can handle rats and goblins" at the beginning of the game.

I agree. Baurus goes down faster than Brett Farve. When I met the mythic dawn dudes in the sewer, he got smoked in about 8 seconds.

He lasted a full 8 secs?!

I couldn't even jump down and run to help him before he died! In the end I just put that quest off till I'd leveled up more.

Try using area of effect paralyze spells when you want to protect an NPC.

Paralyze everyone, friend and foe alike, then kill the baddies on the ground.
