"Thank you," Randon said. He stood and moved his shoulder in a circle, testing the repaired wound. He then went over to the Ferengi and asked, "Can any of you tell me anything about what happened?"

Shran looked up from his desk, ad said, "Yes Lieutenant? Can I help you?"

. We were on our way to sell our cargo on Rigel 5, when suddenly, a romulan warbird attacked us. We didn't even pick it up on sensors until it was right on top of us. Before we knew it, we had been boarded, and a bunch of Remans were attacking us."

The doctor walked from patient to patient, inspecting their injuries. The most seriously injured Ferengi he stopped at, and administered something torelieve the pain. The doc knew there as nothing he could do, it was too late. The others however, he could save.

"Excuse me if I sound rude, sir, but isn't it against Federation protocol to... as you said... Do whatever you need to to get the answers we need?" asked Disk, as emotionless as ever.

"So there were no Romulans?" Randon asked the Ferengi.

"Disk, there is no Federation anymore. Earth was the capitol, all the other starfleet ships have fled. It's gone. But I will do whatever I have to do to save what is left of it, even if it means crossing certain moral boundaries. If you don't think what I'm doing is right, look up Captain Jonathan Archer in the historical databanks. He crossed quite a few of those when he was fighting against the Xindi. And yet, we still consider him a hero." Shran said.
"Now, I'm no hero, but I don't see any difference in the current situation, than the one he was in."

"No, no Romulans. Just the Remans." the Ferengi said.

The Doc came over and said to Randon, "Would you leave my patiets alone? You're already better. Out! Out! He needs rest, and you do too! To your quarters now!" he shooed Randon out of sickbay into the corridor.

Randon blinked as he found himself suddenly in the corridor. "Doc is as persuasive as always, I see," he said as he made his way to his quarters.

"Sir, I must say, I consider those who succeed without sacrificing their morals the true heroes." replied Disk curtly.

[Greenlantern]

"But sometimes Disk, that is just not possible. If Archer had not crossed those lines when he did, he could not have suceeded in saving the human race. If he had not done what he did, the Federation never would have existed. I am sorry if you do not agree with my actions, but I am doing what is necessary to save what is left of the Federation." the captain replied.

Sometimes, these androids can be a real pain. I thought they weren't supposed to have feelings?

Seriously though, a fleet destroys three planets and the captain of one of the few remaining federation ships says, "To save the federation we have to go attack the fleet that destroyed dozens of ships just like ours!" just makes no sense to me. "Saving the federation" should be hiding until you can get allies, running for your life, pretty much.

Just my thoughts.

If the captain had instead said, "What have we got to lose? Everyone else is dead, let's at least go out with a bang!" that would have made more sense and probably rallied everyone together.

You haven't seen Star Trek Enterprise have you? I knowi have used this example seceral times, but Jonathan Archer and the Enterprise went into the Delphic Expanse, to fight against the Xindi species who had just attacked earth and killed 7 million people. They had no help from Starfleet, or the Vulcans. They had to, for the most part, fend for themselves. However, near the end of that season, they gained allies among the Xindi, and from an Andorian ship. This is not much different.

I've seen some of Enterprise, but I doubt anybody on the Legacy has seen it

Plus, what are the chances that the same thing would happen for them? I'm just trying to be realistic with the way I play my character. Know that he will be against trying to fight the superior fleet on their own.

Obviously they haven't seen the show, but the crew would know their history, else they couldn't have graduated from Starfleet academy. And it's great that he's against it, makes for a better story. And, it's sci-fi, with aliens and such. What's realistic about that?

And please guys, have some communication with ya'll's characters, we need some character devlopment. Go hang out on the holodeck or something. Ya'll are all off duty right now, it's ok.

"Very good Disk. Good night." Shran said. "I'll be here if you need me."

"Captain- I will be at the holodeck if I'm needed," David said, "I- I need to think some things through."

"Ok. Maybe take commander Xetan, or Lts. Bisht or Disk. I'm sure they could use the leisure time, while we've still got it." Shran replied.
