Re: Dragonborn (DLC) Discussion
When you reset skill points can you reset how magica, health, stamina points as well?
Re: Dragonborn (DLC) Discussion
Is the ebony smithing perk required to smith Stahlrim? Because I have it and Stahlrim smithing options aren't showing up... Is there a quest I need to do before I am able to smith Stahlrim? I'll be really dissappointed if this is a bug.

Has anybody come across a mudcrab called Old Salty? I found him at the Northshore Landing. I was wondering if he was important somehow or if he was just an ordinary mudcrab

I'm now at a chest just SW of Northshore Landing. I hear a voice saying "Gotta go back and get that treasure. Everyone dead, except for me." I looked all over and can't find anyone. Anyone know what this is about?

I saw (and killed) him too. I don't know if he's important or not. I hope he wasn't some kid's pet or something...brain7734 wrote:Has anybody come across a mudcrab called Old Salty? North of Haknir's Shoal are 3 islands, and the northern-most is an island with massive nirnroots.

Re: Dragonborn (DLC) Discussion
I've got to say, I thought they improved dialogue with Dawnguard--Serana being one of the best NPCs in the game--but they did even better with Dragonborn.
Frea is outstanding (as good, if not better than, Serana); Miraak is involving; and Storn and a couple other supporting characters each add their own flavor. It's extremely refreshing.
And the Skaal are the Nords I felt should have been exemplified more in Skyrim; macho, but with a strong sense of realism.
So far, even with some lag-issues, I give this DLC an A/A-

Just did the quest to find the blacksmith, and now it looks like I need to have the Ebony perk in Smithing to be able to craft Stahlrim.

Hoppers are okay, for me; it's the Seekers that I find irritating to fight. Damn things keep phasing in and out, and mirroring themselves.

They aren't too hard, at least they're satisfying to kill. Ashhoppers are just an annoying nuisance forcing you to stop for no reason other than to kill swiftly

Re: Dragonborn (DLC) Discussion
Just Storn.
Although you can find a few unnamed dead with Skaal apparel on them or near so it's safe to assume they were Skaal too.
Yes you need the Ebony smithing perk and finished the related quest in order to craft Stalhrim items. As far as I know there is no way to get those temple robes.
For me Lurkers can be a pain when they stomp and stagger you. Seekers I can kill fairly easily. Those Flame Cloaked Spiders en mass can really bring your health down fast.

How is the design of the ice armor bad?Huntershound wrote:If it wasn't for the the unwarrented landscape changes and the awful design of the Ice Armor this would be the best DLC we could have hopped for.
It certainly looks better then this

To be fair, some of the shots of the armor on uesp seem to have been taken on lower graphics or at a bad angle. I'm not saying I'd do any better, but http://members.shaw.ca/rado907/armor/li ... earmor.jpg is a better demo of the ice probably. Not great but much less boxy.

You really don't like the Stahlrim armour? Although I will admit the heavy helmet is a bit weird, the light armour makes me look like a badass ice samurai!Huntershound wrote:Has anyone managed to locate the Firebrand wine for Veleth?

To bad about spears and werebears but it is very pretty and the puzzles, though a little too guided, are wonderful.

For those interested. The marriage candidate is in the Skaal village. She asks you to make a trip to falkreath.
