Re: Dragonborn (DLC) Discussion
Idk if anyone has mentioned it but I've done quite a few quests (Side and main) and to my knowledge I have NOT encountered any bugs. So that's nice.

Apocropha is trippy as hell. The halls expend, the ambiance is crazy, and if you're into the lore books, there are a [&@%!] of em in there.

Re: Dragonborn - Your thoughts
I love the Morrowind soundtrack. Anyone else notice the silt strider, or Red Mountain in the background? Remember Master Neloth from Morrowind? He thinks high of himself, doesn't he?

Only found one so far that really messed with me when fighting Miraak.

Re: Dragonborn - Your thoughts
I'm trying to find out if there are more weird weapons are out there like Miraak's sword or the bloodskaal sword.
Mostly they make me wish I was on PC so I could mod and or clone them for a build I'm using.

Re: Dragonborn - Your thoughts
I really like the job (so far) they did with the aesthetics. That back-drop of Red Mountain smoldering across the sea is beautifully epic, and it seems like (to me) they've revamped the graphics a bit, making distant land masses noticeably richer and smoother.

Re: Dragonborn (DLC) Discussion
Their ashlander dunmer, thats normal. I had a bug when fighting the new dwemer machines that caused kill cams to crash the game. Loyal Guide wasn't that good, got himself stabbed in the back. I now hate Hermy though. The scene in the villiage was just wrong...Yaije wrote:Ysmir wrote:Idk if anyone has mentioned it but I've done quite a few quests (Side and main) and to my knowledge I have NOT encountered any bugs. Re: Dragonborn (DLC) Discussion
Yeah I suggest you dump a lot of junk if you're in Solstheim, in no time at all you can acquire lots of Sujamma, Books, Outlander remarks, and Ore hahaha! Good times!
Btw I wanted to clear something up. The just did the Quest "Served Cold" which basically I hunt down the Hlaalu members planning to assassinate Councilor Morvayn. Anyway, the Morag Tong MUST be doing ok and/or are operational from what I gather in the quest the only reason you find them on Solstheim is cause Clan Ulen (House Hlaalu members) want Lleril Morvayn dead. So even though they are no longer considered a Great House they seem to have employed the Morag Tong for a House War of sorts. (Really though they just want Morvayn dead for killing a Ulen years before) Hlaalu really has fallen I mean now I only consider them cutthroats and saboteurs trying to recapture a lost golden age of influence. It's quite sad and yet seems appropriate. (Morag Tong armor is available, armor, boots, gauntlets, helm. It looks like Chitin armor (Light) but with a darker coloration sort of like a Charcoal as oppose to the sort of tan of regular Chitin Armor)

Re: Dragonborn - Your thoughts
I play on Master (Nord 2h warrior) and have found Solstheim much more difficult than anything in Skyrim, which is really awesome imo. I'm only level 50 and I was getting tired of one-shotting everything and then not having anything do damage to me (100 heavy armor and 100 2h full perk trees).
Overall I am really satisfied with the dlc so far. Love being able to have a unique player home, love all the side quests, love the lack of bugs so far. And I haven't even really started the main quest. I haven't even been to Skaal village. There is so much to get out of this DLC.

Re: Dragonborn (DLC) Discussion
The guy is definitely an imperial. He's a descendent of one of the miners you could originally hire to guard Raven Rock way back in Bloodmoon. The girl is some dunmer who used to be a member of the temple.CBR JGWRR wrote:The woman was definitely dunmer, I didnt see the guy in any decent lighting...

Re: Dragonborn - Your thoughts
One thing I'm really happy with is that it didn't just end up as Bloodmoon Pt.2. That they took the time to take a previously visited location, make changes to it and make it feel familiar yet different at the same time.
My favourite moment so far is coming across a battle between drauger and a dragon and suddenly having a swarm of allied rieklings come out of nowhere to rush past me and take them all on (in a rather suicidal way, but still...).
It's times like that where it's good to be king.

Some enjoy bringing grief to others. They remind M'aiq of mudcrabs - horrible creatures, with no redeeming qualities.

Re: Dragonborn (DLC) Discussion
Yes. He is an Imperial. He went into a depression and Councilor Morvayn had sent for the Dunmer woman (I forget her name) cure him and made sure he ate. So after awhile they fell in love and are together. He's apparently pushing close to 80. She use to be part of the New Temple but she left due to a disagreement. It is inferred she believes in ALMSIVI still as she didn't view Azura, Mephala, and Boethiah as the True Tribunal and so left the New Temple.

After you cleanse each of the Stones (Use Bend Will shout and then defeat the Lurker) you can activate them to gain a power. Also, Miraak can sudden appear and absorb the soul of any dragon you kill. (you do NOT absorb the soul) Little thief!
Wind Stone gives you North Wind, a powerful Frost spell.
Bear Stone gives you a Conjure Werebear spell.

How does the landscape compare to bloodmoon? Are there a lot of the same structures?

I've barely gotten into it, and I'm drooling all over the place. I love the return of Morrowind music, and it's so fun to explore just Raven Rock (I spent my first two hours just in that area). I love, love, love it.
Well wrap me around your neck and call me a pedant.
