Another question: Just to check, I looked up to see if Hope Falls was a real place (it isn't, incase anyone else didn't know). I was wondering what the homeless rates would be in Hope Falls.

I just looked up Maine's homeless rate. It's 0.18%. That's super low. So there may be three or four homeless people total and that would still make it above average in population.

All the homeless people in cold parts of the country come to the west coast, where the winters won't kill them and where there are enough bleeding hearts that they sort of get taken care of.

Physical description: 6’4”, the tall man had a very stern face. It was one of those faces that basically told someone no to any question that is asked. He had chestnut brown hair which he cut close to his head, but not yet a buzz cut. His nose was abnormally large, as in width, not length. His lips were practically always chapped, but if they weren’t they would be perfect. Much like his nose, his ears were also a bit wider than most. He had a broad chest, but a slim and muscular stomach. Although not entirely good-looking, he looked healthy for his age.

Back story: Four states south, Austin was born in Rhode Island, and raised there. He was raised on the concept that everyone is a good person, unless something changed them to be that way, and it could always be changed back. In his childhood, he was extremely uncoordinated. His parents decided to let him take karate, which he wanted to do for the last year. So, when he did turn four, he was admitted into Kenpo Karate. He made many friends there, which was good because he only had a small group of friends throughout school. The years of karate greatly helped his coordination, flexibility, and strength. He got his black belt when he was thirteen (when he started to play the harmonica), and kept taking it until he was twenty-two and got his third degree black belt. Although, he kept on practicing what he already knew. He had never had to use his defense on anyone, and is thankful for this. Though, he had subtly threatened people to get out of situations. He took four years of college mainly in business management and marketing. For the past years, he was working at the martial arts studio he grew up in, and was paid well. Right when turning twenty-nine, he was set on opening a bar, although that didn't seem to work out for him too well. He decided to do this in Maine, Hope Falls. Though, when he realized that it wouldn't work, he decided to go there anyway. This is where he is headed now. He decided to mostly only go with the clothes on his back and the money in his pocket.

Profession (what does your character do for a living?): Currently unemployed.

Hobbies: Took karate for a long time and still practiced it in Maine along with the harmonica.

Backstory: Sebastian had a normal life, complete with everything you might find in a normal boy, He enjoyed sports, was attracted to girls, and had good friends. One thing that set him apart, however, was the fact that he was a daredevil. At the age of 12, he jumped off a large tree into a lake, at the age of 15, he started car hopping, at the age of 19, he went motorway running. Then he saw that he'd exhausted everything in his town, so he went on a road trip. A year later, he pulled up into Hope Falls, looking for the next thrill.

Backstory:Damien is the 4th in his family to be in the US Marines (his dad, brother and both grandfathers), but the first to pursue the Military police. He was a promising high school football star, but decided he would rather serve his country than to go play in college. He is from a small town in Pittsburgh, PA where he was living on his own, but his family was close. Hatcher was on military leave and decided to travel. He had heard about a few places in Maine where he would be able to hunt and explore the woods.

Physical description: Jason is an average height, marginally obese man. He is very wrinkled, and looks very much like you would except for his age. He is partially bald with only a few white hairs around the sides and back of his head. He has multiple liver spots, apart from the left side of his face and body (going down to his hips) where he has a huge burn scar which also blinded his left eye. He also had his left arm amputed from the elbow down.
Backstory: Jason was born in Denver, Colorado lived there with his father after his mother died in a car crash. His father was a pilot in the Buckley AFB, and taught Jason how to be strong and never give up. On his 18 birthday, Jason joined the millitary and soon was sent to Vietnam in 1965. There, he suffered many injuries before being sent back in 1967. Shortly after, his father died from a heart attack and Jason has been living on his own ever since. He went to Hope Falls for a quiet place to spen the rest of his life.

He has numerous scars across his body from the hardship he had crossing the border and the job he's had since then. His face is one that many would call handsome. His skin was smooth and unblemished.
Backstory: Alejandro, as he was originally known, was born in Mexico. He lived a rough life in the Drug Cartel ruled country. All he wanted as a young man was to escape Mexico. At the age of 16, he got what he had always wished for. He and his parents were being smuggled across the border. When things went bad, Alex was the only one who made it. He picked up a more American name, Jacen, so that he wouldn't draw to much attention. Finally he got a fake ID and learned a bit of English, but he still wasn't making it. He had no money. He finally decided on a job that he didn't like, but one he was familiar with. He became a Drug Dealer and decided to get as far from Mexico as possible. Being a runner from birth, he was never caught. Now he had decided on where he would make a home for himself: Hope Falls, Maine.

Backstory: Derek dropped out of university half way through his second year mostly due to lack of interest. Since then he's had a series of dead end jobs, usually not staying in one job for more than six months. However, he's been able to save up a decent amount of cash because he still lives with his parents. He's been arguing with his parent's more than usual lately so he decided to take the money he's saved and do something useful with it. Derek has a fascination with skateboarding, in particular racing longboards. In 2010 he participated in the Broadway Bomb and finished in the top 100, more than 1000 skaters raced. During his stay in New York he met a fair number of Canadian skaters who were into the downhill race scene (Broadway Bomb is a flat race). He's kept in touch with a lot of the people he met there and his plan is now to skate to Montreal, then Ottawa and Toronto and to keep heading west until he either finds a place worth staying in or he runs out of cash. He's looking to party and train with the various skaters he meets along the way. He's pretty happy to have left behind his home of St John, New Brunswick.

Made some minor changes to my character as well, had to fix up some dates in her Backstory as the RP is now taking place in 2013 as well as changing the appearance (it's a picture of the same woman). Note when I say she brought a few CD's with her, I mean that she has at least one for every artist mentioned in her likes and hobbies.

Also it's nice to see another Canadian in Hopes Fall, even better to see he brought drugs to give to Séverine when the going gets tough and she has another breakdown. Also is it me or are there a lot of dodgy people all arriving in Hopes Fall at the same time, we have at least two dealers and I'd say we could have a third on our hands if P-sto decides that Jim needs to make a bit off extra cash.

Also I assume this RP is still going a head, I haven't heard any word of it in a long time and I'm just curious.

I completely agree with the number of weird people all coming to Hope Falls around the same time. It would be great if we could have a married or dating couple coming for a honeymoon, a preacher who has been transferred to the local church, a businessman looking to purchase some property, etc.
