Unintentional giggles
We've all seen movies where scenes come off as funny, even though they weren't intended to be. Anyone who's seen Nicolas Cage's 2006 remake of The Wicker Man will know what I mean: "Step away from the bicycle!"
In Skyrim, I laugh every time I flick the lever on a Dwemer elevator thingy. The accompanying sound effect reminds me of explosive diarrhea, and brings back memories of the sounds emanating from the toilet cubicle in the back of a Greyhound bus filled with a disturbing collection of humanity in the company of whom I once traveled far too many miles.

Killcam's when the soon-to-be-dead-guy is mid-sentence of a threat always makes me smile.
But the bug with the Bard's College Master Elf guy where he doesn't read the King Olaf verse you both agreed on (with full persuasion) really makes me laugh.
Like he decided at the last minute to go with his OWN plan 'cause of all the pressure or something haha.

I dunno...
I've been told the lady with the really bad, stereotypical Nordic accent is actually Scandinavian, but half of what she says just makes me guffaw even after a year.
"Honest pay for honest wulluk!"
"Some people say this is my town too - but itain't"
etc.

Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

The killcam glitch happens with assassinations as well, slitting some guys throat "THERE YOU ARE!!". They often call for help and actually attract the other enemies in the area.fetcherswit wrote:Killcam's when the soon-to-be-dead-guy is mid-sentence of a threat always makes me smile.

Re: Unintentional giggles
The beheading killcam makes me giggle when an enemy shouts "It's only a scratch!" WHILE their severed head is in mid-flight. I'm a Monty Python fan, see?
And yes, you're right. That Dwemer elevator sound effect is perfect as the steam-powered flush of an ancient giant bone-dry Dwemer toilet. And the fact that you "black out" in mid-strain is priceless comedy. Every time I pull the lever, I mentally shout "CLENCH!"
A joke my Dad once told me about age is now coming true. At 51 years old, I make exactly the same agonised grunting noise when I bend down as I do when I'm constipated.

By the gods, I will always think of explosive diarrhea whenever I hear a Dwemer elevator now.Evil-i wrote:We've all seen movies where scenes come off as funny, even though they weren't intended to be. Whenever my characters do something super rude I get a good laugh, like:
-running into npcs on purpose and watching them stagger back
-whenever my Altmer ice spikes her husband Onmund because she is irritated at him and he says "I'm on your side!"
-killing Marcurio and resurrecting his body
-watching Shadowmere and Meeko team up and kick someone's arse
-for some reason, whenever my girls use "Drain Vitality" I crack up. I don't know what it is about that shout that is so hilarious to me. Perhaps its the "BOOM" that it comes with like, hey [&@%!], Dragonborn in da hooouuuusssee!

It sounds so drastically different for my Dunmer characters that I kinda can't help but chuckle at it. It's higher-pitched and somewhat screechy sounding.
"Oh, don't mind me. I've only got a cold."
Or... Something like that.
Naked Courier also makes me laugh, too.
Though more so one one occasion than most others. Naked Courier ran up to me to deliver a letter and Serana just so happened to make a comment about Whiterun being such an "open" city. The moment was so perfect that I'm not sure if that was supposed to happen or not.

Re: Unintentional giggles
The bandit thing for me, too. That happened today, except for some reason it was just a normal line instead of fight dialogue - I was in werewolf form and did that running pounce thing, killed the bandit in one hit and even after she's dead she goes, "Watch what you're doing!"
Also, when bandits kill YOU and then say a normal civilian line. They get done slashing at you and ask, ever so friendly, "Can I help you?"

Re: Unintentional giggles
Skyrim is full of entertaining moments. The guard at the Whiterun watchtower who stops to tell me "it's been too long since we've had a good bandit raid" after finishing off some bandits. I feel like we're actually having a conversation!
Finishing moves on mudcrabs. Almost as good as the dramatic music you get when one charges you, claws of death raised high in the air. (Am I the only one who thinks mudcrabs are actually kind of cute? Why do they hate me so? Just because I'm Whiterun Hold's #1 exporter of mudcrab chitin is no excuse!)
The best one though has to be during a dragon attack in Dawnstar, where a random NPC was heard to remark "my money's on the big one!"

I'm also a fan of when I assassinate bandits and they fall into funny positions; face down in their beef stew, landing on top of another bandit etc.

That reminds me.
There was a time when I was doing an assassination for the Dark Brotherhood, and the target's death was highly amusing to me.
The moment she got off her chair, it went straight into a decapitation kill cam. Her body fell back onto her chair, and her head? Well, it landed perfectly on the plate in front of her. I was chuckling for a few minutes after that.

The funniest thing I have seen was during the opening scene. The gates to helgen didn't open for some reason, and the cart in front of us crashed into it and flipped over. Then it somehow bounced over the gate and crashed on the other side.
The game had be restarted at that point, but it was pretty good
