Audio Glitch

My brother was playing for a while and all of a sudden when you talk to an npc, you can read what they say but there's no voice over. You can still hear people say things and talk to each other out of dialouge like "Hello!" or "I saw a mudcrab today, hideous creatures." and things like that. Please help me! It's ruining the atmosphere of the game.

I don't know what could be causing your troubles, but if nothing seems to make it work, you might want to try reinstalling it.

On another note, I removed your duplicate thread. Please make sure you only post once. Don't use the back button to return to a post you were just writing and post again. If you've got a laggy internet connection, make sure you don't press post more than once every 5 minutes or so, and only if you're sure you haven't already posted.

Yeah, it's because of my laggy connection.

But I'm on PS3! I can't uninstall!

Now, when a npc is talking to me (without me initiating conversation) at the end of their sentance the voice volume drops dramaticly. Also i think I forgot to mention that i checked all the audio volume sliders and they are all at defaults.

If the NPCs that you're referring to are just talking with each other, and you walk near them, the entire text of what they're saying will show on screen. If you move away from them, the text will remain there, but you won't always hear their voice because you're moving farther away. I play on the PS3 as well, and the text will often appear when you're still a little too far away to hear them.
