I hate unanswered questions. I know that's what keeps you coming back.....
But...
Spoiler:
Where is Carol?
Was that her grave that Daryl put the flower on? They dug 3 graves.
Who were the 3 graves for? T-dog. Who else? They only bury people they care about. They burn all other walkers.
Did that walker eat Lori? He was fat with a big belly, but there really wasn't that much gore from a body that had been eaten, left over bones and such. There was only blood stains from cutting Lori's belly on the ground, and they made it a point to show you.
Is Lori a walker?
Did Carl not shoot her?
It's as frustrating as Skyrim when you have a ton of quests going at once, then while you are on your way to complete a quest you get loaded up with more quests. Ahhhhhh.

I can answer a couple of those, having watched the episode again today.
Spoiler:
I assume that Daryl was leaving the flower for Lori, because look how much he cared for the kid. It's the only one that makes sense to me. The graves were for her, T-Dog and Carol. The only body they found was T-Dog's so the other two must be empty.

As for the walker, yes, it ate Lori. Bones and all. Carl shot her, she died and didn't reanimate, and that walker came along, ate her, and then presumably was so full it had to take an after-dinner nap. I thought that scene was symbolic, in a sort of gut-twisting way. Babies come from the lower abdomen, a baby was indirectly responsible for Lori's death, so Rick stabs the zombie in in the stomach to vent his frustrations.

It works better as a visual metaphor than a written one, but I thought it was a really powerful moment. And one of the few that I've not wanted to watch again.

Andrew Lincoln's(Rick) acting in this season has been particularly good, I mean his crying scene was so bloody realistic it almost made me want to join in. I'm really rather interested how these turn of events are going to change him as a character, I mean... after he stops being bat [&@%!] insane of course.

As for the questions,
Spoiler:
I would agree with Tom... empty graves are pretty normal when a body hasn't been recovered. Since Carol is still missing and presumed dead, and Lori's body was inside a Zombie infested prison and got eaten by that bloated Walker.. it would be more a respect thing then anything else.
I'm going to guess Carol is still alive however, they can't possible keep knocking off this many characters at once... as realistic as it might be, I don't want them all to get wiped out in half a season. Funny that she would go missing in the same fashion as her daughter did... running off after being saved by a group member. In this case T-dog, instead of Rick.

Actually the flower was for
Spoiler:
Carol. Remember back in season 2 when Daryl gave her the Cherokee Rose when Sophia was missing. It was another Cherokee Rose. I think the writers are trying to show a sensitive side to Daryl, and when Carol comes back there will be a teary reunion.

Spoiler:
I was just about to mention the cherokee rose.

The only thing the walker didn't eat of Loria was the bullet that Rick picked up.

Spoiler:
My initial thought was that the flower was for Carol. So I agree there.
And I can understand that you can have an empty grave because there is no body. But, why dig the grave? Why not just have a place marked with a cross. What's the point of actually digging the grave?
Wouldn't it be easier for them to search for her? Daryl had a strong connection with her, I would have thought he would have gone on a rampage to find her.
If the writers chose not to show them looking for her or finding a body, but instead just have a grave for her to let us know she is dead. I think they did a [&@%!] job. All of the main group deserve to be respected and written for properly. I can't understand the idea to not show any of the group wanting to find Carol. Again, they possibly did, it just wasn't for our viewing. A bad call.

Spoiler:
I seriously doubt that Carol is dead. If I remember it correctly in the preview for next week's episode Daryl finds Carol's knife. But the cherokee rose was certainly for Carol.

I'm going to be sad when more people I like die.

Also I would be surprised if a single walker could eat someone whole.

Spoiler:
If Carol is not dead. I am undecided. Why are they not looking for her? It's not like she's lost in the woods or a town. She has to be in the prison somewhere. Seriously. Just open a few more doors and look. I've only watched the episode once, but I'm sure the door she went through lead her outside somewhere. She looked back at T-dog getting eaten and it was daylight behind her.
I'm not overly fussed any more about if one or more walkers ate Lori.

I just want to know where Carol is.

Oh, and they dug the other graves because the prisoners wanted to help with something.

Spoiler:
I forgot about the phone call!! They knew Rick's name. It'll totally be her!! Carol is ALIVE!!

And....
You don't just dig graves for something to do. Glenn was there to dig 3 graves, he had dug one, and asked for two more. It wasn't a random number of holes in the ground to keep people busy.
I still don't get 3 graves.
They had T-dog's body, or what was left of it.
They didn't have Lori's body (cause apparently a walker ate the whole thing, including bones and CLOTHING.... but not a bullet, Seriously WTF?)
They don't have Carol's body.
Why 3 Graves? 1 Grave for T-dog's body and 2 'marked' plots for the dead when there are no bodies found.
Why dig a grave?

Maybe Carl didn't shoot Lori.
I'll have to re-watch to see what condition the bullet was in. Maybe Lori is a walker.... Maybe it's Lori on the phone, Maybe being pregnant had some reaction with her body that prevented her from changing, maybe she didn't die, but just passed out from the pain and they assumed she was dead. Carl didn't shoot her and she woke up and fled to a different part of the prison and rang the phone.

Spoiler:
Digging a grave is a symbolic action. Think how many empty war graves there must be. The fact that you took the time to dig a 6 foot hole in the ground is more important than having a corpse in said hole. Plus the two prison guys wanted to help in some way. What I definitely know is, that walker ate Lori. There's no disputing that. And the phone is probably another aspect of Rick's newfound insanity.

I was thinking earlier - dangerous, I know - but why have they given up on Carol so easily? They spent weeks, if not months searching for Sophia, but they didn't even bother to look around for Carol. Doesn't seem right. Of course, it'll make her eventual return more dramatic, but still.

Spoiler:
Well at the time of digging they didn't actually know that Lori had been eaten. Rick hadn't returned to tell them. I think they assumed they would find the bodies, but once they realised they may never find them, they filled them up.

Also I beleive the reason no one is looking for Carol is the fact they all beleive she is dead, and that the group has changed since Sophia. Sophia was a child as well. And looking for Carol could risk the lives of others and our dwindling group of survivors can't lose many more people.

Mid season finale? Way to have to wait after next week... How long!!
The show is sitting at such a perfect spot, I was thinking they could of pulled a mid season finale this week.
I want the group to come out on top in this raid on Woodbury. I just know that's not going to happen though. I want Glenn and Magi to make it, along with Rick and Daryl. It's time for Merle to die, and it would be good if it's by his brothers hand.
I'm wondering if the Governor will know Oscar (the black guy they found in the prison) when, or if they confront the Governor. They could possibly be linked, as Oscar did come from the Woodbury Prison.
I'm not fused on Michonne. If she dies, so what. As long as she goes out taking other [&@%!] with her. Her character is too hard arse. But, I guess so was Daryl's, until he realised working with the group was better than alone.
Man, I hate when Tv Series are good like this. One episode a week is not enough.

Oh god the glass went in his eye. I couldn't handle the bit when they were looking at it, it made me feel rather ill. That whole thing was [&@%!] brutal.

Now I've got to wait until February to find out what happens to Daryl. I don't understand why Merle is being singled out as the traitor, and I can't wait to find out how they're going to resolve this one.

Merle was singled out as a traitor because he told the Gov he killed Michonne and then she came back and killed Penny and stabbed him in the eye. Plus he needs to blame someone or else Woodbury would blame him.

That episode was good. Besides losing the new 'token' black guy, their losses were small considering and I was so glad to see the Gov get worked over, the crazy prick. He deserves to die. I still don't get why they killed the group of army guys a few episodes ago. Smart thing would have to bring them back to town, sit them down, explain how your little town/setup works, and who's in charge. They can then decide if they want to stay and help or move on that's up to them.... killing good men/fire power is a stupid idea.
I don't know what will happen in the next episode. Fingers crossed Andrea acts against the Gov, how much [&@%!] does she have to witness before she realises he's a nut bag.

I've actually wondered that myself. She seems like that girl that has to be in the show. The one that only realizes how terrible the villain is, after everyone else notices it.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Cheers.

Also I thought the leader of the new group Carl found had a familiar voice. And lo and behold, IMDB tells me he's Coach, from Left 4 Dead. How appropriate.

GUYS IT'S BACK

I've got to download it now because I don't have satellite TV and couldn't watch it on FX. I'm also not waiting for Channel 5 to air it because I'll be an old man when they do.
