I took Gidlii to Angi's Camp in the mountains, and it took a few tries, but I successfully completed her archery training without HUD. Yikes, it was frustrating though. I also read the Gold Ribbon of Merit, and got a good kick out of it.

Cannibalism is part of Bosmer religion. They eat only meat, keep from using Valenwood vegetation for any utility or consumption, and they ritualistically eat their defeated foes entire bodies within three days of their death. Apparently they tend to plan family feasts for the day after a battle.DaedraPuppet wrote:... Guess why
Spoiler:
I'm currently aiming to become a werewolf as well. A controllable beast transformation must sound good to a Wood Elf after learning of the infamous, permanent, and savage Wild Hunt.

Killed Nazeem- so satisfying!
And then I raised him as a zombie and killed him again- still satisfying!

Since my elf had to go back 20 levels due to a stupid glitch, she received the benefit of [&@%!] up the Thalmor Embassy all over again. Ahhh....it is so nice to assert power over others. She loved every second of killing all those Justiciars who call her a traitor to her Altmer race.

If you use hooded robes as an Altmer it is possible to do the whole of that quest without fighting...

Went to Half-Moon Mill to kill Hern. Decided to take care of Hert first. I had previously chopped wood for her, so she greeted me with a polite "It's a fine day with you around." That's when the one-shot decapitation with Okin happened.

Started a new character. I nursed the previous one along for as long as I could, but without patches, the bloated Save files make the game unstable and unplayable when they grow to 22-23 MB.

Sylmirie dressed in the Thalmor robes. As she walked right past the Thalmor guards, she thought "This is not fun." <---- Killed EVERYONE. That is much more entertaining. Besides, she likes showing off her Dragonborn powers.

Re: The 'What You Did in Skyrim Today' Thread
As a level 12 on master, the hagraven at orphan rock was an incredibly overpowered foe for Gidlii. She knows when to pick her battles, so she retreated for when she was stronger.
She became a werewolf and was overwhelmed by the control she had over such a savage, pure, and untamed form. It's all of the power of the Wild Hunt without any of the sacrifices. After slaughtering an entire Silver Hand camp, eating each victim along the way, Gidlii travelled back to Orphan Rock. In her beast form, she bolted across the fallen tree bridge, dodged the hags fireball, and clawed her clean in two with one powerful swipe. She let out a victory roar, watching the remaining witches scatter as she kneeled down to devour the hag before taking Nettlebane back to Whiterun. Her mission to save one of the oldest and most spiritual trees in Tamriel is progressing nicely.

Re: The 'What You Did in Skyrim Today' Thread
I completed the Dark Brotherhood questline with Hunts-With-Fury.
Normally, I try to be as stealthy as possible with the Dark Brotherhood questline, but not this time.
Nope. I went the opposite direction. Out of pure boredom, I did the Dark Brotherhood questline as obviously as possible. Finished with a 32k bounty or so. Still haven't finished paying it off.
'Course, I think there are a few lingering side contracts I haven't taken care of yet.
And, curiously enough, the "Dark Brotherhood Forever" repeating quest failed to start once I informed Nazir of how much I got for... Doing what I was told to do. See if it starts when I visit the Sanctuary tomorrow before going to meet Brynjolf in the Riften market.
And speaking of bloated saves, Hunts-With-Fury's save shot up 1 full MB in an hour. Sitting at 12MB right now and I'm noticing it starting to lag and glitch more and more often. If it keeps going up that fast, Hunts-With-Fury is doomed to the void of characters deleted due to broken saves.

It is difficult, at several points there are altmer who are scripted to detect you, and it is impossible if you wish to keep Marlborn alive, as there is no non violent way of doing it.tatortodd22 wrote:Tempting.CBR JGWRR wrote:If you use hooded robes as an Altmer it is possible to do the whole of that quest without fighting...
Mind you, since he only ever complains at you if you do save him...
Don't know if it works for any other races. Also, you must use hooded robes, the ones on the desk in the room on the right are useless except as a source for the fortify destruction enchantment. Well, next to useless, they cant be worn with a circlet making them more viable if caught, but that's about it.

Re: The 'What You Did in Skyrim Today' Thread
Gidlii learned to craft her own set of Elven armor, proud of her elven blood. She has joined the Thieves Guild. Eager to fit in and make coin, she completed a series of jobs in Whiterun, which gained the Thieves Guild some favor in the city walls. She performed a favor for the Battle-born family, and gained huge standing in Whiterun. Now, Gidlii has delayed meeting Maven Black-briar long enough.
All the crime is difficult when I don't do the save-fail-load until success technique of thievery. I even picked the Tower standing stone so to get out of jail easier. lol

Re: The 'What You Did in Skyrim Today' Thread
Ran across the usual random Argonian thief in glass armour while travelling from Dawnstar to Whiterun; before he could say a word, the two of us (+ CuSith and Shadowmere) were attacked by some bandits, so we joined forces and slaughtered them. When it all was over, the ungrateful jerk turns around to me and tells me to hand over my valuables - and I, having got rid of all my Guild and Nightingale gear in favour of self-enchanted vampire armour, had no way of proving to him that he should be paying me tribute instead, so I was forced to dispose of him violently. Gotta tell Brynjolf to teach the neophytes how to recognize their superior next time I'm in Riften.

Re: The 'What You Did in Skyrim Today' Thread
I completed Skyversary Black Sacrament with Vulom Staadnau, then decided to randomly go streaking.
Got bored of that after a while and decided to load Yrana Blade-Dancer and start the main quest.
Then that got boring, so I loaded Hunts-With-Fury, went streaking again, and then started clearing out my journal.
I think I did a grand total of three quests.

I killed a bunch of animals, skinned them, and then dumped the hides in the middle of the forest as an offering to Hircine.

I'm up to 11 Stones of Barenziah. Thank God for the mod that gives them quest markers. I'm level 33 with 100 Pickpocketing and 100 Speechcraft...and much lower Archery/Sneak. So, I use a lot of poison and spend a lot of gold on higher level arrows.

Re: The 'What You Did in Skyrim Today' Thread
Oh gosh, that would be nice; I wasn't aware that existed when I did the quest. I found about 19 on my own, and used the wiki to find the others... except I seemed to be missing one. Turned out it was in the Whiterun catacombs and I'd walked past it three or four times because it's in a corner and hidden by a candle the angle I was walking past it at. Finally I gave up and watched a video to see where it was. A quest marker would've made that a ton easier.snapple wrote:I'm up to 11 Stones of Barenziah.
