Shield and Magic wielding at once.

That new mask looks Daedric It also has the same squid theme as the other Dimension. I think the dimension is Hermaeus Mora's realm. So is the other Dragonborn working with Hermaeus Mora? If he had access to everything anyone will ever know ever that could explain his Dragonborn powers.
you could already have shield and Magic wielding

Also oblivion/Sheogorath skyrim/Hermaeus Mora? im starting to see a pattern here.

Ah, I haven't played Skyrim in months, forgot that.

Daedric Realms are a convenient way to place the player in an alien environment. I wouldn't read any further into it then that.

Im not saying that player's dragonborn will become Hermaeus Mora. more likely The First* tries to become a Daedric Prince.

I don't think that's his plan. In my opinion Hermaeus Mora is helping the Dovahkiin defeat the First Deagonborn. Why would he want to become a deadric lord, by all accounts he is already immortal, immensely powerfull and knowledgable and and can defeat hundrreds and thousand of Akatosh's own children.

Vanilla Skyrim forced you to interact with Hermaeus Mora to defeat Alduin. He obviously has an interest in the protagonist of TES V and it's hinted he would play a larger role later.

You don't talk to Mora until you bring the lexicon to Septimus, which isn't a requirement to continue the main quest.

Most players do bring it to him, though. I remember reading a poll somewhere that indicated that. It's not the game engine literally forcing you to go that route but human nature leads a majority to. Just as Mora foresaw.

There is also the fact that the Septimus acts for Mora. You have to talk to him in one form or another.

Interesting point. Hadn't really noticed that. I hope they expand him into his tentacle form, and don't just leave him as a black and purple ball.

I don't think Dovah one is in Apocrypha by choice. The Trailer does tell you he's trying to become back, implying he can't leave by choice.

Keep in mind that even the players who don't actually interact with Hermaeus Mora in Skyrim still serve him every time they learn a new Shout and grow stronger, or read a skill book and level up. He's the god of Knowledge. Mortals learning lore and growing stronger strengthens his realm. It feeds his appetite. Without Knowledge, none of the heroes of any of these games could have killed the main antagonist. It took Knowledge to figure out how to assemble the Staff of Chaos, or activate Numidium, or use Kagranac's Tools or open a portal to Paradise. It took ancient and forbidden knowledge to learn Dragonrend to make Alduin mortal and strike him dead. Hermaus Mora watched and chuckled silently to himself through all these adventures. He owns the minds of us all.

I don't know if someone's already pointed this out but releasing an Xbox one month exclusive wouldn't be the best idea considering Christmas is coming up. If Dragonborn is released one month later (Jan. 4th) for PC and PS3 they'll miss the holiday season sales

I can't see what the fuss is about going back to an area we've been to before. I've seen plenty of players on various forums saying "Oh I really WOULD love to experience Morrowind but I don't want to play a game with outdated graphics." Well this is their chance to play Morrowind with amazing graphics, and a total nostalgia trip for those who played Morrowind.

Dragonborn also appears to be very balanced in that it has the bells and whistles that aren't actually necessary (I'm looking at you dragon riding...) for the players who just want to play a game where they can be an "omnipotent god king who destroys the feeble mortals" but also the potential for a MOUNTAIN of new lore for those who like to get in to the world on a whole other level.

Wasn't there something like the one month exclusivity only applied to the first two dlc packs?

That's what I heard as well, but it appears there's some trust issues between Bethesda and some of their fans. Not that I'm blaming them, I really do think it's strange they would release any DLCs without being sure it's available to anyone.

I of course forgot to add in my previous post that I am completely ecstatic about this DLC. Herma Mora is a very interesting Prince and it'll be great to visit another Oblivion realm. I will be a bit disappointed however if we don't get to see him in corporeal form. I always enjoy seeing Daedra Lords face to face.

Has any concept art been released? I love going through drawn pictures and then comparing them to the game later on :D

Well the problem is that the PS3 players have had to wait a lot longer than one month! In theory it should have given Bethesda plenty of time to port it to the PS3 after focusing on the XBox, but then it sounds like there are some fairly significant technical issues still to resolve, to the point that the main game itself is likely only just running on the PS3 as it is. Which is weird seeing that there's no particular hardware constraints except that the PS3 only has 256mb of dedicated RAM (the XBox has 512mb but it's shared with the graphics card) but iirc it's much faster than the XBox's so it's strange they can't do better.

Anyway, I don't doubt that they're still working hard to bring everything to the PS3 as there'd be no sense in holding off, but one issue that seemed to be up in the air is whether the two exclusive DLC actually included Hearthfire or not, and I dunno if that was ever actually answered?
Like you say it makes sense for them to make sure that Dragonborn is available to as many as possible for Christmas as it's a good time for people to be playing Skyrim (they might actually have the time to!). I dunno about Christmas sales since DLC doesn't seem quite the same (I haven't seen many people getting vouchers for DLC marketplaces), but people will definitely have the opportunity to play which Bethesda should really capitalise on.

The problem with Harmeus Mora is that he doesn't really have much of a corporeal form; given the appearance of his realm and his occasional appearance as a mass of tentacles though I speculated earlier that he may actually be his realm as his thing is consuming all knowledge after all, so we could very well have seen his corporeal form in the trailer ;)
However, I do hope they change his voice in this DLC, as I didn't really like his voice when he speaks to you during Discerning the Transmundane; I am however curious to see how the two quests interact (e.g if you do his daedric quest before the Dragonborn quest or after).

Yes i saw that post and thought it was an interesting idea. I'm sure you know that in Daggerfall and Oblivion he is represented as a "a grotesque green mass of tentacles and claws" (quoted from the wiki) and this is the form I would rather see him take instead of a purple ball or the land itself. I'm weird like that, or maybe I just want to know who/what I'm talking to. Anyway it's an opinion and there's too many to satisfy everyone, and it's not going to ruin the game for me if I don't see a green Zoidberg blob

Hopefully when the dlc is released and I play it, it'll show me why everyone is excited for a daedric prince that I find rather bland. Doesn't really capture my interest. And I agree on his voice not being great in skyrim, sounded like a poor attempt of mocking Sean Connery. Yet everytime someone mentions "mass of tentacles with claws" I can't help to think of The Destroyer from Borderlands. I am excited for the dlc though. I don't prefer Hermy, but I'll give him a chance. No offense to his beloved followers. I also wonder how they would implement spears. I would like to be able to fight with them in hand then when enemies retreat from the death of their friends, being able to switch to a range stance and throw it into their backs. Switching from melee to throwing it or at least having a choice. With Achilles strength from Troy the movie.

I hope that Bethesda will be so wise to include an alternative way to become a Werewolf. Not all character archetypes are lorewise inclined to follow the Companions questline and even if we don't get a separate quest a feral werewolf bite will suffice.

I hope they won't port it over and instead code a version for the PS3 as that what caused the delay of Dawnguard in the first place, i think due to them not using the split memory on the PS3 thus the game doesn't know what it's supposed to do.

I suspect they will do a Sheogorath and get a better voice actor to voice him as i remeber Sheo's voice being a bit dull before i got the GOTY version. Should sound a bit arrogant as well as sounding like a smartarse.
