Can't use Summon Golden Saint spell

Hi all,

I've recently started playing Morrowind again since Xbox 7/8 years ago and i'm really enjoying it. I've installed the Morrowind Overhaul Mod and the difference to vanilla is amazing.

One issue i've noticed though is that I have 5 'Scroll of Summon Golden Saint' in my inventory but i can't use them. They are not available in the spell list and in my inventory there is no magic swirl behind the scroll's icon.

I haven't been able to figure out the issue but i posted a question on reddit/r/morrowind and someone with the MGSO installed was having the same issue - no solution though.

Has anyone else experienced this and is there anything that I could do to fix it (minimal Morrowind modding experience)? Or would it be better to just leave it completely, buy the spell and enchant an item with it? Or am i completely barking up the wrong tree, this issue having nothing to do with the mod?

It's probably not a big issue but i was really trying to work towards a constant effect levitate enchanted item. And a Golden Saint soul gem seems to be the lynch pin.

Do the other scrolls work?

yeah, all other scrolls that i've come across work. Its only the SGS scroll that doesn't.

Doesn't seem to be a very common issue...

I've recently started playing Morrowind, with the MGSO enhancement pack in place. I found one SGS scroll in a cave somewhere which didn't work, and was very recently given two by a guild leader, which also did not work (they stack with the first one).

This is the only scroll that doesn't work.

There are so many mods with the MGSO pack that I wouldn't know where to begin guessing which is causing the problem. I haven't seen anything in the mods or MCP that looks like it's intentionally disabling the scroll.

Did you ever figure this out? I'm encountering the same problem with the same scroll. I have a Summon Golden Saint scroll, but it doesn't appear in my spells list and I can't cast it. I'm playing Morrowind GOTY on XP with various MGSO mods. Weird.

Had the same issue, but unchecking the Magics sorting icons in the MSGO options did solve it. The problem was in the PSsorticon.esp, I editted my version, so it works now even with the Magic sorting icons checked on my version.
