Trying to console command fix The Litany of Larceny

I am obviously not doing this console command thing right, since the computer does not respond to me when I try "setstage TGLarceny 80". I get no error message, but checking with "getstage TGLarceny" only answers me "Getstage >>200.00". I guess it means it still is passed stage 200 and finished.

As I previously know nothing about console commands, I may do some quit obvious mistakes without knowing, but if so, what mistakes?

Anyone? I just do not get the option to give Delvin the Left Eye of the Falmer. It might of course be that I am using the wrong console command or that I otherwise have misunderstood how to fix it, but I am stuck either way. The dialogue to give it to Delvin does not appear.

It didn't work for me either. It might be something to do with one of the recent patches, maybe.

I never had Delvin ask for the left Eye of Falmer until v1.7, so my question is which patch version are you using?

At that time, it was definitely v1.7. I have not tried again after installing v1.8.

I have not tried to complete the Litany of Larceny quest more than once before, and I believe I missed an item or two that time, but I did not have problem with the Eye then. It was the second time I tried, and this time I really did an effort to get all of the artefacts, that I encountered the error where I could not turn in the Eye. That was when I unsuccessfully tried the console commands to correct the bug.

Look at the quest page. It lists all the bugs, including this,
"As of 1.4.21, the quest is set to stage 75 once the Bust of the Gray Fox is turned in to Delvin. When the Left Eye of the Falmer is picked up, the stage is set to 200 and no further entries related to this quest will appear in the journal."

So from what I understand, since you've collected all of them, there's no way to turn the eye in. The reason why it won't set to 80 is because there isn't one. The eye is not a quest item. So you could try setting it yourself on the shelf and just use the console to complete the quest but other than that I don't see another way. Though I am a 360 user so I might be wrong.

As I re-read it now there seems to me I just did not want to understand it as an unresolvable quest once it is perfectly done!

So this bug has just slipped through three patches after Bethesda blundered it into patch 1.4.21?!
