Re: Dragonborn Trailer
Its happened to me without it being the last person in the room. I still find them annoying because it usually happens when I'm still in the middle of a dungeon or something and just need to get going.

I think Bethesda is the only company that really tries to give the BEST game they can. I know many say that they are, but Bethesda tries to put something in for everyone and I really think they succeed at it.
Anyway, most 12 year olds have seen R-rated movies, so who cares if they play Skyrim?

Excet for the wide array of bugs that never get fixed, they seem to have problems with that.

maybe some of them aren't as easy to fix as the uninformed masses seem to think they are?Redguard_Master wrote:Excet for the wide array of bugs that never get fixed, they seem to have problems with that.

Can't be that hard to make esbern's potion work or make word walls give you the dragon shout. Even if it is hard the game's been out for a year, should have done the work by now.

Re: Dragonborn Trailer
Not everyone experiences bugs. But let's keep on topic about the trailer as opposed to arguing about Bethesda. They give me games I enjoy and that makes me happy!

I dont know if anyone has the same idea. But i been think that maybe we are allowed to go to morrowind mainland, maybe Blacklight we can the boat to Solstheim.
I got this idea from seeing some of those mushrooms trees and i don't remember them being on Solstheim island..
Please correct me if I'm way off course

There's a giant mushroom visible on the far left at 0:20 when they show Solstheim's shore.

The second one he named is apparently common. The first happens to literally everyone. If you notice, the potion gives no effect at all.
Argonanza wrote:There's a giant mushroom visible on the far left at 0:20 when they show Solstheim's shore.
Yeah. I'm guessing the Dunmer - specifically the Telvanni mages - simply figured out a way to terraform Solstheim to make parts of it more like home. The climate would have changed and warmed on the southern part any way due to Red Year. The seas boiled for decades after that happened.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

Re: Dragonborn Trailer
Back to the armor pic. I've never played morrowind but when I was looking through the armor types, the sight of uhh the "Nordic mail" armor reminded me of that pic. Just my two cents

Alot of the armours look to be returning including Nordic mail, stahlrim, bonemold and the bear and wolf armours.

Re: Dragonborn Trailer
What I am wondering is, will the medium armors go heavy or light. I want ice armor, that is for sure, but I want to know what kind of character to spin.(That's in the hope I get to play this one)

Re: Dragonborn Trailer
I'm thinking
Bonemold - Light
Wolf - Light
Bear - Heavy
Stahlrim - Light
Nordic Mail - Heavy
The unsure one is stahlrim, could go either way.

If they are adding 6 new armors, I am guessing that this expansion should be fairly big. Dawnguard added what, 3?

I'm excited about which of those types will be the Icy one. Because that is likely light, no?
Of course, Ice is still rather heavy...

Re: Dragonborn Trailer
My guess, based on the original Ice armors Design (why they are now reffering to it as Stalhrim armor is beyond me, even though that is what it should have always been) is that it will go heavy. I would be relativly disappointed if it went light, really it just fit the medium slot so well.

Re: Dragonborn Trailer
Idk, I feel like ice will be light armor, yet my only reasoning for that is a stretch. When I think of ice in ES I think of Chillrend, being a glass sword, glass being a light armor, which makes me think ice would be light. But like I said, one hell of a stretch.

Re: Dragonborn Trailer
The files in the update seemed to indicate light and heavy variants for all the new armor types (Chitin, Bonemold, Nordic, and Stahlrim)

Re: Dragonborn Trailer
I'm excited for this; I'm another that was in the camp of Dawnguard not seeming all that interesting, only for it to be much more fun than I expected, though I've still only completed a fraction of it just to see what being a vampire lord would be like, then I got majorly side-tracked with real life so I'll need to go back and play it for real with my new character.
Dragonborn; I'm sort of undecided about the concept, I mean obviously if any game is going to investigate the origins of the Dragonborn then Skyrim would be it, and the possibilities about what we may discover about the original Dragonborn, and the Dovahkiin as well, is actually pretty interesting. However most of all I just want a chance to stomp around Solstheim and Apocrypha and they look great and exploration is one of the things I've enjoyed most about Skyrim. While Skyrim expanded massively on what could be done visually, it still has a lot of very repetitive feeling dungeons, and quests that are all largely identical, so I'm looking to the DLC to add new things and I think a trip to a a different landscape is definitely going to have that possibility, even if some of its quests will likely still occur in Skyrim it looks like it should have a strong range of stuff to see and do.
New armours and weapons will definitely be nice extras, though I'm not so fussy about the addition of spears unless they're meaningfully different from existing weapon types; personally I'd like a style of weapon better suited to dual wielding, that lets you block and parry rather than just attack with two weapons at once. Still lots of goodness, and even if it's more of the same in new locations then it will be well worth the price, though I'm still hopeful that it will set the bar a bit higher than that!
I do agree with some people that trailer is a bit action oriented, but I'm hoping that that's more to avoid too many spoilers; there's likely a ton of side-quests and stuff, and hopefully some decisions to make a long the way, I just hope that Apocrypha will have a decent amount to it, rather than being just being all about a single quest; I mean, I'm sure you have to go there for the main quest since it seems clear that the first Dragonborn is there at the end of the trailer, but it'd be nice if there are some side-missions, and maybe even if the portal can be re-used for a time (e.g - until you complete the main quest).
