Re: Dragonborn Trailer
At 0:50 it appears like the player has some sort of shout effect that gives him some aspects of a dragon's appearance

Re: Dragonborn Trailer
I also noticed all the enemies freezing in the trailer at one point- a new shout perhaps?

at 1:06, one of the rieklings are holding the spear in one hand, while another one is holding it in two hands. that's what causes the confusion.MathiasFlynnias wrote:I have only seen two handed spears. What are you one handed spears people on about?

Re: Dragonborn Trailer
They look exactly the same spear to me. i would assume it is merely due to the fact he is riding (like most spears are used) that it is put into one hand. I would still say, and wager, that it is the two handed spear.Vahrukiv wrote:at 1:06, one of the rieklings are holding the spear in one hand, while another one is holding it in two hands. that's what causes the confusion.MathiasFlynnias wrote:I have only seen two handed spears. Re: Dragonborn Trailer
The one at about 1:06 appears to be falling after a blow or part of a kill screen. IIRC the PC loses one grip while weilding a two-handed weapon and being kocked back/down. However I've been playing a lot of Bloodmoon so i may ne remembering the animation from that.Vahrukiv wrote:at 1:06, one of the rieklings are holding the spear in one hand, while another one is holding it in two hands. that's what causes the confusion.MathiasFlynnias wrote:I have only seen two handed spears. Re: Dragonborn Trailer
It looks like how the player winds up in HM's realm is by reading a certain book, out of which tentacles emerge and grab the player and drag him into the realm
And at 1:06, you can clearly see a spear being thrown at the player, so maybe there is a new skill?

Re: Dragonborn Trailer
WAIT A MINUTE. Look on the ground at 1:06. Those aren't arrows and if you pause frequently enough, you can see they are actually throwing spears! Javelins perhaps in one hand? Gives way to a whole other load of potential throwing objects that were present in Morrowind...Huntershound wrote:The one at about 1:06 appears to be falling after a blow or part of a kill screen. Re: Dragonborn Trailer
I was wondering about that, but I don't think that's true. It looks similar, but I think the top of that mountain is a lot flatter than the Throat of the World. I'm not sure about that, since the Throat of the World does have a flat space and then a peak, which this also appears to have, but I still have to say different mountain. The proportions just don't work for me otherwise.Duderino Abides wrote:The shot of dragon riding towards the end of the trailer is on Skyrim, not Solstheim. Re: Dragonborn Trailer
So many details to notice!
That last shot is EPICALLY framed.
I love the idea of an (apparent) fight between the First Dragonborn and the Last. So much potential! So many exciting ideas! Let me just go laugh hysterically for a minute.

Re: Dragonborn Trailer
I would say Throat of the World only becuase that building. It makes me think of High Hrothgar. However, Solstheim may have changed quite a bit but to think some fool would have placed a structure on Hvitkald Peak. By my blood I will see it torn from it foundation and drowned in the bottom of the sea.Elenath wrote:I was wondering about that, but I don't think that's true. I can't tell! My instinct was yes, but then I decided maybe not, and now I think it's possible! Gah, so confused!Huntershound wrote:I would say Throat of the World only becuase that building. The building does look like High Hrothgar, and I don't see any sufficiently tall mountains on the initial veiw of Solstheim (I haven't played Morrowind, so I can't make judgements there), but I just can't picture the Throat of the World as having a flat top. I mean, yeah, it's a little bit flat, but I don't think it's the same layout.
I guess I'm reserving judgement, but leaning towards saying it's not the same mountain.

The Throat of the World does have a flat top. That is where the notched pickaxe is.

Re: Dragonborn Trailer
Oh wow...mighty interesting. I especially liked the tentacles coming out of the book to grab the Dragonborn. "You didn't think you were the only one"....YES Dragon Priest here I come!
Ps...I don't think Throat of the World was in there. All of that background looked new to me.

Re: Dragonborn Trailer
I for one am going to say, unreservedly, that it is most definitely High Hrothgar in the back ground. It's identical!

Yes we did, Br3admax! Oh, my most favorite parts of Skyrim are the crypts. Undead...zombies...the first Dragonborn with a tentacle mask that will be proudly displayed at Lakeview Manor...Gods! I can see my Altmer's wicked little grin now...

I appear to be mistaken. That is, beyond all doubt, the Throat of the World.

So how does the dragon you are riding in skyrim look compared to ohdahviig?
If it is the same one, then maybe you have to complete the main quest in order to play the new DLC

Re: Dragonborn Trailer
The one in the end of the video is exactly like every other dragon. But there's one that the character is mounting that looks like... I don't know what it looks like... It's something like... It's a little gross you see... he doesn't seem to have scales... and bluish-grey skin... yeah it's weirdsoda popinski wrote:So how does the dragon you are riding in skyrim look compared to ohdahviig?
