Jaime was lost. He floated in a black void, beyond all sight, sounds, hearing taste, or touch. He did not no where or who he was. All that Jaime Lannister knew was that one moment he was dreaming of Cersei's touch in his cell under Riverrun. Then he opened his eyes, and saw-- No, it could not be. Was this Melisandre standing here, the red sorceress, the one that the Gaolers spoke of? Or was it but a shadow? In any case, the woman raised her hand and everything went black. Now he was here. A place of no feeling, no emotions and so many questions. Where am I? Is Cersei alright? Am I dead? What about Joff? or Tommen? Is everyone suddenly here? Can I find them? WHAT AM I DOING HERE?
He opened his eyes. He was in a dirty cart, with three other men. One of them, a burly blond haired man, looked up. He had dirt all over his face, and his voice was husky and deep.
"Hey, you. Finally awake. You were trying to cross the border, right?" The man said. "Walked into that imperial ambush, same as us, and that thief over there."
If it was possible, an even dirtier man looked up at Jaime. He turned to the first speaker.
"Damn you stormcloaks. If you hadn't gotten in the way, I could have been halfway to Hammerfell on that horse. Skyrim would be a much better place without you stirring up trouble."
Jaime's mind was awash. What was Skyrim? Stormcloaks, Hammerfell, the Empire? It was all so confusing.
And thus they continued, going on about such things as Sovngarde and the Empire. The thief even called out a pantheon of 'Gods' as their cart rolled through the crude wooden gates of a stone fort. A couple men with scarlet guilded armor sat ahorse a few yards away. One of them, a man with a grey bowl cut and unfriendly looking eyes, was conversing quietly with a queer creature with pointed ears. Jaime learned from the burly man that these were 'Elves' and this man was 'General Tullius'. Jaime's overall confusion grew deeper, if that was possible. But there is one emotion that is not confusing whatsoever, the knowledge that death is immenent. And so it went with Jaime Lannister, as he stepped form the cart and saw the Headsman's block.

At that very moment, full despair seized Jaime Lannister. His mind roared, escape escape escape. It took all of his strength to stand still. The burly blond man jumped down beside him. They were ordered into lines. Ralof was to Jaime's left. "Empire loves their damn lists." Ralof grumbled. Two important looking people in iron armor filed out in front of the lines, papers in hand. They began reading off names.
"Ralof of Riverwood."
Ralof stepped forward. "It has been an honor, Jarl Ulfric." The imperial knight called out another name.
"Lokir of Rorikstead." It was at this moment that the thief in desperate need of a wash broke. He screamed, "YOU'RE NOT GONNA KILL ME!" And ran. The female knight called out archers, and in a moment Lokir was lying on the cobblestones, bleeding from four places. A pool of red cast its domain over the immediate area. "Hey. Who are you?"
They were calling his name. Jaime knew he could not escape, not with what happened to that dunce, Lokir. Not with the archers so close by. And he could not give them his true name, either. He came up with a name on a dime. "Aerys."
"This man's not on the list, commander." "Send 'im to the block anyway, Hadvar."
The knight, Hadvar, looked up. I'm sorry, Nord. At least you're dying in your homeland." Jaime shook his head wildly. "I'm not FROM here! I have never been here, I don't KNOW this place!"
Hadvar shook his head. "This man must be drunk. He's clearly a Nord. If you're not from here, buddy, then where are you from?" The young lion could not take it anymore. It was too much. The names he had learned jumbled in his head. Riverrun, Rorikstead, Skyrim, Hammerfell, Sovngarde. Everything went grey. But then an idea jumped into his mind. "Do you know about Aerys Targaryen?"
Hadvar looked confused. "Aerys who?" "Targaryen," Jaime repeated. "Do you know him?"
"I've never even heard of him." "Then surely you are acquainted with Tywin Lannister."
Hadvar looked even more confused, if that was possible. "This man is definitely drunk."
Jaime jumped at the chance. He had to risk it all, right here, but the odds were in his favor. Could it really be true? Might he be able to remain Anonymous in this world without having to put on a false identity? For the first time in hours a whisper of hope took hold. He could do things, he could survive here. But it was not to last. For at that moment Hadvar seized him and pulled him towards the headsman's block. Jaime broke out in a cold sweat. Then the minutes went into a blur. More names were called out, a man's severed head rolled across the ground, then finally it was his turn. As Jaime Lannister prepared himself to die, a strange noise punctuated the air. It sounded like a roar of some sort. Jaime continued on, thinking of Cersei's lips, her smile, her breasts. But as he was being laid down on the block, something huge blotted out the sky. General Tullius screamed,
"WHAT IN OBLIVION IS THAT?" Then that thing landed on the a stone turret of the fort. It was huge, and black. It had wings the size of Baelor the Blessed's statue in front of the Cathedral. It's horns were like two of Jaime. Everything about it was spiky. There were impaling spikes on it's wings, and claws big enough to disembowel ten men. Jaime knew what it was, though every bit of logic and reason screamed at him, No, they're all gone. They're gone. Still, Jaime knew what it was.
A dragon. And he knew what it meant. The Targaryens were here too. And they were out for blood.
Han trudged through the green woods. As he walked, he observed the woods and Lake Illinata. Hans had been a hunter for many years, living off the land, finding his own food and sleeping under a different tree each night. He did not know what race he was. His mother was a Breton, his father was a Redguard. He had skin like bronze and a love for the magic arts. Whatever he was, he was a skilled Hunter. He tensed. He sensed something nearby. Hans raised his bow, and in the back of his mind he summoned his magic energies to the forefront of thought. With his hightened, focused sense of hearing, he heard something crashing through the trees like a clumsy drunken bear. He released the bow, sending the arrow shooting into the tree. Suddenly the world erupted in a gout of flame. The flames consumed him, licking hungrily at his body as they destroyed it cell by cell. Hans fell to the ground screaming. What was happening to him? Before he died, Hans saw a giant - No, it couldn't have been... A dragon whirled away into the clouds.
Every once in a great while we don't know what's happening in the world. That phrase describes Jaime Lannister after he escaped that hell-hole Helgen. As he trudged through the forest, an arrow surprised him with it's lethal touch. It embedded itself deep in his heel, and just before he blacked out, he saw a dragon destroy the nearby forest. It was that Daenerys girl, he just knew it. Then everything went black.
