What data files do i need, how can i check

Post by drazhar »

Hey all. I recently uninstalled and reinstalled my copy of oblivion. Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles and some other data files were installed. However i cannot remember which. I didnt remove those data files when i uninstalled, just oblivion, then reinstalled.

Is it possible to find out what data files i need to restore my Shivering Isles save game, it says i need some data files, but they arent present? Do i just need to reinstall KOTN and Shivering Isles?

If you've got the files in your data folder, you might be able to check them from the Data option on the loading screen when you start your game. They get checked automatically when you install the DLCs, but then maybe you can avoid reinstalling them.

If that doesn't work, then try reinstalling them.

You can also use the program 'Wrye Bash' to check which data your savegames use.
