[Resolved] PS2 pad configuration

Post by gavin19 »

I'm using a PS2 Dualshock via USB. I can configure the buttons no problem using the Menu in Morrowind itself, but it's the analog sticks that pose a problem. I want to control it as Oblivion on my 360. Left stick to strafe l/r and up/down moves forward/back. The right stick is for looking up/down and turning left/right.

I can set the left stick to strafe l/r, and up/down moves forward/back by default. It's the right stick that's messed up. For some reason up turns left, and left turns up, with right turning down, and down turning right.

I have tried xpadder and joy2key to correct this but with no luck. If anyone has a joy2key .cfg file they can post up or an .xpaddercontroller file that would be great. I want to get started on this but I refuse to use mouse/keyboard!

EDIT: I was poking around in the Morrowind.ini and found the problem.

Joystick Look Up/Down=6
Joystick Look Left/Right=3

They should be reversed to read -

Joystick Look Up/Down=3
Joystick Look Left/Right=6
