A question about Updates...
I recently ran into a problem when I was going through the Fighter's Guild Story (on Xbox360) and after entering a cave on a mission became stuck. After consulting this site on the mission I found out that if you've already cleared the cave the game will not let you finish the mission. But with the update this problem is suppossed to be fixed. My question is, I know that when I get the update that it's going to disable the money glitches. Yes, I'm very cheap, I hate money in any game, the Sims being the other, so any chance that I have to obtain money I jump on it. So if I get the update to finish the quest is there any other way to get money by basically cheating. Again I hate money and any help would be gladly appreciated. Thanks.
It's the killing that I'm not into, so now I just dup Magic arrows and do it all (with poison as well) from a distance.
So one way to do it would be by doing the same, but with some good loot. Find an Ob gate (what level are you at?), take a few Feather potions so you can carry out as many of the same expensive pieces of Daedric armour or weapon (something like a bunch of cuirasses). Go to your fav rich Merchant with as many arrows as you can find, stand in front of them (so you can reach to pick up the dups and speak to them, as you're likely to get encumbered), and dup away. It's much easier to do the "pick up sticks" after the duping if you already had a reasonable number of the dupped item.
If you're not already at least level 75 Mercantile, boost your stats up to that level if poss, and the Merchant will let you invest 500 Gold in the shop, so you will then get back an extra 500 for each of the expensive items.

Thanks for the tip, I had thought of Duplicating things and just simply selling them but was worried about the lag, but I'll give it a try and if it goes well I'll go ahead and get the update. Thanks for the help, I have to finish the Fighter's Guild quest-line. And now I'll be able to get the downloadable content. Thanks again.
If you'd bother to try to make money, you'd realize cheats are totally unnecessary because it's so ridiculously easy anyway.
In earlier levels, alchemy will make you more money than you could possibly need, especially once you master it. Make potions with 4 gold in ingredients, sell for 20-100+ once you get higher skill and equipment. That's a ridiculous profit margin and it only takes seconds.
At medium levels, light armor is usually the best thing to load up on and sell. Potions, jewelery, and scrolls are also always worth picking up.
At higher levels, go for all the armor. Make a spell that boosts personality, mercantile, and charms at max for just a second and use it on merchants before you sell or buy. Invest 500 in the store. That means their cap goes up by that much. It makes a huge difference.
Don't grab the Daedric Cuirasses. Grab all the other armor pieces. You get a lot more money for the weight. Raiding bandit caves at higher levels is a good money-maker too and glass armor weighs almost nothing so do pick up those cuirasses. Don't pick up weapons heavier than shortswords. They're not worth it.
I think I just broke 300,000 and I've bought all the houses. I'm nowhere near done with all the quests.

That's why the feather potions! I don't leave anything behind anymore. I've already got 1.5mill in gold (mostly from since I started using Feather potions all the time), but I'm working on my Mercantile currently, so every item helps.Pherdnut wrote:... Though I'd recommend trying to keep your carrying weight to under 4000, after that, esp once you get up to 4.5k, it does become abit of a juggling match with potions and having to wait for some of the "extra" effects to wear off.
