All TES games are different.
In the words of Duruza, all Elder Scrolls games are and will continue to be very different from each other, and we need to learn to respect that, and understand that Skyrim isn't Oblivion 2, and Oblivion was never meant to be Morrowind 2. They're all very different from each other, and all have their own merits and drawbacks, but at the end of the day, if you don't like Skyrim, if you don't like Oblivion, if you don't like Morrowind, hell, if you don't like Arena, that's fine, but understand that each game is rewarding to many people in its own way. Especially with roleplaying, there are so many opportunities in Oblivion and Morrowind that I have never taken advantage of that I could never accomplish in Skyrim, and vice versa. It's just the nature of the beast. So that's my rant.

but I agree wholeheartedly with the OP and would like to add that as each new game is released there is an inevitable stream of "what i miss about the last game" threads which imo outlines the subjective aspect at the heart of criticism leveled at these games and whilst these observations shouldn't take away from peoples' constructive criticism of a current game, it is often much nicer to read from fans how they enjoy the experience and learn how to enhance one's own game time, than to have the game picked apart for not being as good as warm fuzzy memories of previous editions

Hear, hear. Every game is different, and every game should be played differently and experienced differently.
.... Although i must admit, I'm usually one of the biggest complainers when it comes to things left out in new Elder Scrolls games.

With all of the complaining that's been going on recently, I figured it would be a good time for me to get this off of my chest.Believe wrote:Don;t wanna burst your bubble or anyhting, but did this really need it's own thread?

........ I.... No. Some things are better left unsaid.
But i have to agree that this should have been posted somewhere else........ But if the mods have no issue with it then more power to you.
But i have to say i would like more to be added, lore wise, instead of less for the future.
