Slave owning

Post by Reaper67 »

Is there any use for owning a slave in Morrowind because I bought all of them and couldn't find any use for them. They are weak and all they talk about is being set free, I didn't buy you for freedom!

Without the use of mods, no use. All they do is follow you around until they get themselves killed trying to help you in a fight.

This should be in the MW forum. :)

I buy slaves and either set them free or use them for target practice. My marksman needed help and my friendly argonian slave gave me a target. :D

Why isn't there an option more like
"Out of the sheer annoyance they cause me and the fact that I'd rather not kill them I'd set them free"
or "kinky bed-time action" <---unless that one falls under companionship.

Also... if you have a slave for the companionship... how bad is your life? (This includes all types of Royalty and/or Nobility that do or have practiced this form of life-partnership)

Anyway... yeah I wish Morrowind had a bit more... use for the slaves. I mean they're there... why can't we use them?

I'd probably end up setting them all free though... probably because even if my place was a mess I wouldn't care enough to have someone slave away to fix it.

I thought about it really but then I remembered the milk monitors.
Bears scare the hell out of me!

What is up with you people and setting them free if you pay for them (1000 a pop) you should do something useful with them!
The best use in my view is sparring cause what better legal punching bag will you find? (just heal them every ounce in a while)

If she is she's a willing one. She rather likes Dante... (not as true of Satan).

There´s a"slavemod" where you can puchase slaves in suran slavemarket,Slave Companions v2.0.I use them as dancers but this ones can funtion really well as companions too,or play the lute, recite poetry etc :-)
Then there´s several "free slaves" mods, twin lamps, nevenas etc but that it is a totally different story.

Well, yes and no.
When I crushed Dante's skull with my bare hands and threatened to kill Nevan, she was very eager to follow me around and follow orders for all eternity.

Why do you think I killed him?
I also vaporized Vergil to eliminate the competition, and cleaned out Temen-ni-gru so that I could turn it into my new home.
( Tel Uvirith was getting a bit small with all the slaves. )

I don't care much for the modding perspective as I play on the 360 so there isn't really much in the way of mods.

Yo... that quote is from Satan, not I.

Anyway... so you killed Dante then? I thought you were locked away forever in Hell or whatever... or is that the other Satan?... Could'a sworn Dante just outright slew you with that weird glowy devil-combining kid... although if there's another Satan then there could quite possibly be a third... oh well.

You know, it may not have more room, but I find that locking away all my slaves away in the back closet of the Hlaalu stronghold (can't remember the name of it) makes for an amusing little sight.

I'd have to starve all of them to death for them to fit inside my closets, and that would sort of make them useless.
( I did add some safety rails to the hall of echoes so they wouldn't fall to their death. )
Oh, and I'm not locked away in hell, I'm just an evil wizard named satan_n_stuff. My parents did a lot of drugs.

Is it by a coincidence that you and oathbreaker ended up with such similar avatars because it is confusing as hell!

I want a young, beautiful female dunmer slave to keep my bed warm, a redguard slave for sparring, an imperial slave for cooking, a breton slave for educating my kids, a nord slave to repair broken stuff and an argonian slave for cleaning :D

Our avatars are in no way similar. His doesn't have bright colors, mine does. And... he had a couple other avatars before the one he has now, so if you think it's by sheer coincidence... yes it is.

Now now Fog... having gods for slaves is just ridiculous... what if one of them decided to smite you, hm?

Well if you make them gods then you have to treat them better thus improving life for slaves everywhere!

In the name of the morrowind slave owners association, I object.
There can be no god for slaves or a slave-god, as this would harm us financially.
If you want to help slaves, join the twin lamps, so we can find you and kill you, and rapier-sharpen all the female slaves you freed.

What is the point of that? If you help the lady in the Telvanni canton you end up having to escort a trader and instead of escorting him you sell him the best armor and weaps for nothing and then do the same thing for his stats. Now THAT is a god!
