Mannimarco

Post by Sublymonal »

I don't really understand the formula for Mannimarco's health, can somebody help me out [my level is 11].

Here's the formula:

135 + (3+1)x(PC+6), PC=1-44

Also, what would it be for 12 [in case I level up before I fight him]?
"In ancient days, men looked at stars and saw their heroes in the constellations. In modern times, we do much the same, but our heroes are epic men of flesh and blood." -William Safire, moon landing failure speech (undelivered)

I wouldn't bother worrying about Mannimarco. I've taken him on with several characters at different levels and never had a problem making him die... but the first one beat him to death and the second one got lazy and drowned him. Either way, don't fret about his health formula, just bring lots of health potions if you're a low level.
I'll try to help if I can.

Elder Scrolls Games owned/played:

Morrowind for XBox
Oblivion for both PC and PS3
All add-ons for PC

Just obtained Arena and Daggerfall.

I agree - if you have some decent spells and/or enchanted weapons he isn't that much of a problem. Go get him!

The formula is very simple:

if your level is between 1 and 44, his health is: 135 + (3+1)x(PC+6)
so if your level is 11, his health will be 203. If your level is 12, his health 207.

if your level is 44 or higher, his health is 335.

However, don't always count on that exact number. If you plan on making a spell that does exactly 207 damage, you still have to account for any "reflect spell" or "resist magic" effects he may have (which I'm sure he does).

I wouldn't worry about his health either... He was pathetic, I was expecting a fun, hard, long, boss fight, but I was extremely disapointed. :(

Well, I guess I could have moved the difficultly slider. :?

Yeah, he's super easy. He broke my weapon and I finished the last quarter or something of his hp with fists.

Manny's page doesn't point to any particularly nasty defenses, and since he has an Altmer's customary weakness to elemental attack, Destruction spells should do a real number on Thy Wormy One.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.

Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

The funny thing is that to complete the Mages Guild questline you don't actually need the slightest inkling of magical talent. The quests are actually a whole lot easier to complete if your a heavy armor clad, axe wielding 'tank mage' than if your a plain old mage.

Just take a big weapon to Mannimarco and bash the c**p out of him.

Simple.

Well, you do need to cast spells in order to unlock Vahtacen. But then again, you get three of the four spells for free if you peek into a nearby chest...

...still, it is sloppy on Manny's part not to anticipate that some hotshot Mage would come along and toss a tri-elemental fireball called "Wizard's Fury" his way every so often.
