If I would make the movie, the main character would be a human and probably a knight because:Milder Despues wrote:Everyone's missing the point, what would the MAIN CHARACTER be like in the movie, in your opinion.
I can't possibly believe that anyone would think that Morrowind would make a good movie..
Imperial because most people should be able to identify themselves with the protagonist. Of course black and scandinavian people would rather have another race but you can't make everybody happy.
A knight because the movie will be better recieved if the protagonist is a strong and noble figher.
But this is just from a logical and commercial view of point. My personal favorite race is dunmer and my favorite class a fighter-thief.
Still, I think it would be VERY hard to make a good movie based on Morrowind.

IMO, if you want to make a good movie based on The Elder Scrolls, you should:
* different story, not the story of Morrowind or Oblivion
* keep the concept of the daedra but make it simpler
* merge all the human races into 1 race: human
* make all the lore, religion, cultures, ancient civilizations, ... much simpler.A movie lasts +/- 2 hours, not 200.
Actually, just make a movie with dunmer and daedra but abandon everything else.

very very true. they would have to eliminate a lot to make a film of it.r40k wrote:heres an idea! DONT EVER MAKE IT!!!
Do you guys seriously want to see a morrowind movie?
In my opinion the depth of the story and lore in TES games is way to much for a movie to handle
thats a great idea, isnt that fairly early in the Tamrielic Timeline?1337onidas wrote:They could do a prequel about Tiber Septim or something.

Actually, if they were to make a movie out of it, the Main Quest would be very nice to base it on.. At least the epic late part with meeting SPOILER! Vivec and smashing Ash vampires/ Dagoth Ur (Don't want to see someone running errands and fetching skulls for orc's..)
Ah well, won't happen anyways..

One thought that I've just had, if it was a Hollywood blockbuster then all the Nords would have hilariously bad generic Scandinavian accents. I can just imagine Eydis Fire-Eye...
"Here ish my friend and my colleague alsho, Shaint Nerevarine"
I like the Nords having Scottish accents, personally, although I suspect that could be corrupted too...
"Hoots mon, I expect ye're wondering what's under me kilt!"
And sadly, I can imagine being the Redguard crewman on the ship at the start being the Token Black Guy(tm), I mean, there aren't any Redguards central to the storyline, are there?
Hollywood has a habit of generalising and stereotyping, so I suspect all Bosmer featured therein would be thieves with Jack Sparrow accents and all Orcs would be toothless simpletons.

wot wot....
Anyway,
Also, I reckon some of the quests wouldn't make good storylines, I mean, how could you make a battle between a guy with a sword and a rat sound exciting
"Hiyaaaah"
"Eeek"
End Scene
Moses H. Christ
Anyway,
You can never please everyone, like you said, either animal cruelty or furry's will think its offending them in some bizzare way, but I would like to see a character like that.how about a race that doesnt offend anyone, like Khajiit
