Killing a Jarl
If I kill the Jarl of Morthal, will that prevent me from being able to gain the honor of being thane? Also will it keep me from being able to do any quests except for the one involving the fire in Morthal?

Re: Killing a Jarl
The Jarl in Morthal is essential, so sadly, no killing her for you.

Re: Killing a Jarl
Even if you sue mods or console commands to make the jarls non-essential, there's really no use to it. I wish there was, though.

Re: Killing a Jarl
Reading this post got me thinking, once the quests involving these essential characters are completed why could they have become non essential. That would be fun to eliminate the Jarls, Maven Black Briar and others.

Some people in the world do. For example: Lucan Valerius.FortySeven wrote:Reading this post got me thinking, once the quests involving these essential characters are completed why could they have become non essential. That would be fun to eliminate the Jarls, Maven Black Briar and others.
After completing The Golden Claw quest, you can kill him, making his sister take over the shop.

Re: Killing a Jarl
If you want to remove the Jarl, you could do the Civil War questline for the faction she's opposed to, although that might be a little drastic. Otherwise, don't know how you'll get rid of her.
