What is the canonical character like?

Post by Milder Despues »

Well, hypotheticly(sp?), if some stupid director were to try to make morrowind into a movie, what would the MC in your opinion be like? I mean, a khajiit thief, bosmer monk, imperial scout, argonian dancer etc etc.. I'd picture it as some Imperial rogue (sort of a Jack Sparrow).

A Drunken Bosmer General I think would make it sound good.....but still you have to wonder how does Jiub become a Saint?

Well, he drove all the cliff-racers from morrowind.

He should be god for THAT accomplishment!

Yeah, but how did he do it? I mean I'm like the next guy for calling him God but how did he drive those gosh darn annoying flying things away?!

Well, maybe he ran around Vvardenfel for like an hour, then since every single cliff racer would be following him he uses a scroll of fiercely roasting or another spell that does damage in like 100 feet.

BAM! Problem solved.

That'd be more "roasting them alive" than "drove away"

But still awesome.

A bold Imperial knight, played by Viggo Mortensen, or a baby-faced Imperial knight with exactly the same voice and mannerisms as both Legolas and William Turner, played by Orlando Bloom.

Or maybe a Redguard behemoth, played by Mr T of course.

Or if we're lucky they'll have Tim Burton to direct it and he'll cast Johnny Depp as a dunmer :P

I was definitely thinking about a dunmer character, but I don't know about Johnny Depp for the part. Don't get me wrong, he has done some amazing roles; but I don't know that he is the one to pull this off correctly. Just my opinion! :)

Morrowind as a movie would just be a disaster, it might even be worse than nacho libre, which was the worst movie ever created outside of chick-flicks.

It wouldn't work, all the thing we love about morrowind just won't work in a movie. You'd be looking at a 1-2 hour slideshow of beautiful pictures, and that's about it.

Everyone's missing the point, what would the MAIN CHARACTER be like in the movie, in your opinion.

I can't possibly believe that anyone would think that Morrowind would make a good movie..

You just emberassed the hell out of me....

Has it ever been silent at work, then all of a sudden somone starts laughing extremly loud?

"Cliff Racer's on a Stilt Strider!"

Back on topic.... The part would all have to depend on the director. The director i would want to see would be the people who made "Fargo" and "No country for old men" Becuase it would an awesome movie, but then it would have those parts when you'd have to ask yourself.... "is it ok for me to luagh at that point?"
