i'm not on PC, the most i've heard is Jorlief [&@%!] about Dunmer to Galmar, otherwise Ulfric himself has yet to prove himself racistBr3admax wrote:I mean idle conversation, say I'm talking to Galmar about a certain Jarl getting slammed into a Dragon skull over his throne. Ulfric talked without me being there. I don't have the Construction Kit, but someone who does should really look for the dialogue.

Re: War
I'll be right there alongside you— let the Empire and the Dominion burn each other. Once Morrowind is reclaimed a new campaign can be launched to unite Tamriel under a new Dunmeri Empire! Never mind population...surely such a glorious task would attract Vivec and the Nerevarine (and Divayth Fyr for that matter) back from wherever they are and consequently make the Dunmer unstoppable!Alnevar Odai wrote:I'm on the side of whiterun.... just kidding. I dont like any of the 3 choices. Gimme a chance to fight for morrowind and rend it from the scaly claws of those filthy slaves... (Yes, I prefer house telvanni and hlaalu over redoran)
In all seriousness, since you asked the question in the context of it being a DLC I'll give the easy answer: my Thalmor-sympathetic Altmer mage would fight for the Dominion, while my Dunmer crusader would fight for the Empire. I'm certainly very sympathetic to the plight of the Altmer, of course, and would presumably enjoy that questline more, supposing that it focused on painting the Thalmor ideas as good and logical from an Altmer perspective and focused on the good that could be found within the AD. A pure evil faction would not be enjoyable.

A lot of the Altmer hate the Dominion, they are just afraid to speak up. The Dominion really only cares for the high nobles of Alinor.Glyre wrote:I'll be right there alongside you— let the Empire and the Dominion burn each other. you'd stay alive of you were mer, you'd end up as a spirit if the AD got their way, not so sure about humans though, last I checked the AD didn't like humans very muchphilfredobob wrote:Um , i would side with the empire .. since i like being alive .

Aldmeri Dominion think far too much of themselves. That is a huge weakness of any group, army ect, ect. I would exploit this weakness and kill them by the thousands

Re: War
If they did release this kind of DLC, I'd only side with the Thalmor for roleplaying purposes, just to see what that side of the questline was like. With my main characters, I'd definitely go with the Empire.
Start the groove.

Re: War
They would never let us join anyway. We can never be evil, technically. The Thalmor are just plain evil, not flair or theology involved.

considering I only ever use human characters in the long haul I'd very much like to paint my armor in thalmor bloodDaedraPuppet wrote:They would enslave or kill all of the humans if they could.Br3admax wrote:They would never let us join anyway. Re: War
I kinda want to annihilate both sides... I guess it's a lot better to side with the Empire, though.
I think it would also be neat if we could join one while being a spy for the other. I could spy on the Thalmor for the Empire!

Re: War
No, no, no...
We need a new Empire, and for that to happen, the entirity of Tamriel needs to fall apart, and then someone can take the IC and start over again with the help of some god. Probably goody-two-shoes Akatosh again.
The Empire needs to be dismantled, and so does the Dominion. Then all can start over again.

Re: War
I've figured it out. The new Emperor will be M'aiq the Liar, who will conquer and unite Tamriel with the Wabbajack and an army of Painted Trolls.
Start the groove.

Re: War
Will never happen. The Thalmor have a firm grip over the 2nd Aldmeri dominion. The only way they are going to change that is by beating them in a war (akin to the empire vs the 1st Aldmeri dominion or even the allies vs Nazi Germany).JVElEven wrote:No, no, no...

Re: War
For me this is just picking the lesser of the two evils. I hate the Aldmeri Dominion but my hatred for the Empire started in Oblivion and I treat it like an old rivalry.
Gah I wish I could just go the worst route possible and kill them all, but seeing as that probably won't be an option I guess I will have to side with the Empire.

Whichever side gave the best rewards probably, but if they were the same such as with the civil war I'd just pick the Empire.

The Empire. The Empire should also have a presence in an Elder Scrolls game. Obviously they wouldn't have a presence if the Dominion crushed them...

Re: War
hmm
spoilers:
depends on the character really. 'The Empire' doesnt really exist in my main character's playthrough because Ulfric runs Skyrim and Emperor Meade was killed by the DB. I could easily kill Ulfric if given the chance and in the power vacuum created after Mede and the Thalmor have been eradicated, i am not sure people would actually stick with the empire - its decimated army would not be able to keep the peace and another post oblivion crisis council sounds meh in the extreme. So at the moment i'm looking for a chance at creating the first Empire of Mattbot: dragonborn, defeater of the thalmor, uniter of the Nords, guardian of Auriels bow, commander of dragons etc
its the only answer that makes sense
you could play the story like a star trek holodeck episode, and have the main character fight on the Thalmor side, allow them to win except they get their wish by being sent to a plane of oblivion which looks exactly like the Dominion lands, but only they exist (this might be something they are tricked into, or tbh might even be something they want). I am sure one of the white daedra would help make this happen if all the races asked nicely
