Aythu grumbled alarmingly, but still went to where she remembered Kerin sleeping, knocking on the door.
"Kerin?" she called.

Kerin mumbled. "Whatt?" He asked softly, he stood up in the room, looking around and rubbing his eyes.

The oddest expression came over Llela's face, halfway between a grimace and a grin. "The poster in Cheydinhal, then... Were we to be bodyguards, in the case that someone was sent to kill you?"

"We need to get going, if you still want to follow suit on that," Aythu said through the door.
"And quick too, before the sun is up."

"That too," Llevana admitted, with a hint of shame. "I wanted people around me. Not just for protection, but for company as well. Running all your life...it wears you out."

West Shore of Lake Amaya
Llela nodded slowly, eyes distant, seemingly looking somewhere beyond Vana's upper chest. "I think I get it." She said. "I haven't been running from in my life... But I have certainly been running. And whatever it was that I was looking for, I didn't find it. Until..." Her eyes focused, and the Dunmer blushed slightly when she realized where she had been staring, and her crimson eyes jolted back up to Vana's.

IMPERIAL CITY
The door slammed into Per's face as he came bursting out of his door. He was half strapped in his armor and had thrown the little sack wth his belongings over his shoulder. "Ouch, I'm coming damnit!" His hair was even scruffier than usual and seemed thinner, somehow. His nose was bleeding from having a door kicked in his face. Still, he seemed to brighten up at the sight of Gudrun. "Morning, darling," he said, failing miserably to sound charming and manly. Instead, his voice was croaky from sleep.

"Aye," nodded Per, wiping his nose. "As long as we get some proper breakfast on the ship. I need something to put my teeth into," he winked, as he descended down the stairs. He was still in the process of properly strapping on his armor.

Re: Tamrielic Adventures
Imperial City, Waterfront
A young and cheerful Nord girl with murder in her eyes, a blond bear of a man, a miserable vampire with an entranced Breton in tow, and a scowling Bosmer were one of the queerest companies the ship-master had seen during his forty year-long career. He might have been afraid, but a forty year-long career meant that he was a professional. Professionals weren't afraid of anything, he knew, and he had no reason to be either. Those teeth looked sharp, though...he would have to be quick, eager to serve and to the point. His mind raced as the party casually approached him. The ashborn vampire was staring straight at him with those red eyes. Red like blood, the ship-master thought. Could be my blood she drinks next if I'm not clever. He rummaged 'round in his forty years of ship-master experience, looking for a way to deal with a vampire and stay safe. The Nord girl was right in front of his desk now. Have to be quick now, he thought, always have to speak before the customer does.
"Been in this office forty years!" he informed her, just as Gudrun opened her mouth. That may not have been the right thing to say in retrospect, but the ship-master was so deadly afraid now that he was sweating. He drew strength from the knowledge that he had been in the office forty years. Nothing would go wrong, he could deal with it.
"Been in this office forty years," he repeated, and underlined his statement with a nod. "Been in this-"
"-office forty years, yes," Gudrun replied, visibly annoyed. "That's a downright shame for a man as witty as you, but I'm afraid I can't help. Me and my companions need a ship to Morrowind," she said. She looked at Aythu and added: "
A cabin with no bullseye too, if that can be arranged."
"M-Morrwind, you say?" the ship-master replied, nervously licking his lips. He looked over some unrelated papers in order to look busy, and then continued. "Yes, that can be arranged. The cabin as well!" He grinned at Aythu, and a thick pearl of sweat ran over his nose, right into his mouth. He paid no heed. He would like forty years to become fifty or fifty-five.
"The Nerevar's Prowess leaves for Vvaardenfell in about two hours," he informed the travelers. "It'll cost three hundred Drakes for all of you, food included. If you've brought your own food that'll be twenty drakes less per head."
Gudrun put her hand under her cloak and the ship-master went white as paper.
"P-please!" he stuttered. "I have a children and wives! I-I mean a wife and children! Please, I beg of you let my forty years become five and fifty!"
Gudrun glared at him coldly and didn't stop her motion. Before the ship-master knew what was happening (he had hidden behind a mountain of paperwork), the Nord girl let a heavy pouch of coins fall onto the desk. The ship-master's trained ears recognized the sound of gold on wood (forty years of experience were paying off), and meekly glanced over his paperwork. Gudrun stared blankly at him for a few seconds before shaking her head and beckoning for her companions to follow her onto the ship.
As soon the queer fellowship had left, the ship-master took the flask of hot water out from under his doublet and fanned cool air into his face with a piece of paper. If forty years in the office had taught him anything, it was that sometimes he had to do dishonest things to get by. Dishonest, such as accepting the deal that the dark-clad Bosmer had made with him the day before. He had been wary at first, as he had heard of many an employee of the empire who had been thrown into the Imperial Prison for shady business, but when the Bosmer had finished, he was rubbing his hands. It was the easiest shady job he had ever taken on in his forty years of office, and he would rewarded handsomely. Four-hundred Drakes, all to himself. Smiling greedily, he opened the pouch and thrust his fingers inside to scoop out a handful of coins. Too late did he see the small, golden snake that lunged out of the bag and buried its poison-filled teeth into his throat. Gudrun smiled as she heard the thump of the body falling onto the floor and boarded the ship. Her plan was working out perfectly.

Llela hesitated for a long moment, biting on her lower lip. "I'd get us caught by Ahnassi." She said guiltily. "They day's getting on, love. We'll pick up where we left off when we get to Suran tonight." To soften the unfortunate sting of her words, she followed her words with a quick, soft kiss, the proximity that the motion required brushing their breasts together. Llela shivered. "Oh, thrice blest and thrice dammit, I love you."

"You're so boring," Llevana said, making it sound as if it were the best quality a lover could ever have.
"But you're right," she added and slipped into her undergarments. "It's time to go."
A few minutes later, they were outside Ahnaasi's (who had politely shoo'ed them outside) house.
"You lead the way now," Llevana said.

Re: Tamrielic Adventures
Spoiler:
"It was nice seeing Annie again." Llela said distantly, as she led Vana toward the fort... And away from any road leading out of town.
They took a shortcut through a pleasant stretch of dewy green mushroomy field between Pelagiad and Dren Plantation, Lake Amaya glittering on their left and Lake Hairan shimmering on their right. Before long, they entered the agricultural region. Grim plantations passed on both sides, slaves labouring in fields seen though gaps in the brown walls. Llela kept silent as they passed, staring at her feet.
When they passed the farmhouses, though, where ordinary Dunmer worked their fields honestly, Llela merrily greeted them, and asked them questions incomprehensible to anyone not from the Ascadian.
They passed more farms and plantations, and left Lake Amaya behind, reaching the shores of Lake Masobi on their right. Across the waters of the small, clear lake, the town of Suran was huddled around the base of the Molag Mar highlands, the traditional Hlaalu buildings and streets teeming with life. While it hadn't been as long a journey as the day before, they had had a later start, and sundown was approaching.
