What are you most looking foward to?

Post by Tiber-Septim »

So what are you most looking forward to in TESO? Obviously due to the nature of an MMO many things are going to be different but the exploration experience should still leave us breathless especially as there are so many provinces to explore. :)

Exploration, of course. There are so many things we've never seen and I love the way TES games all have those little bits and pieces of awesomeness hidden in places you'd least expext them. I hope they manage to translate that "behind that hill can be ANYTHING!" feel into the MMO.

I'm not worried about such a feeling being present, I'm more worried about it being maintained.

Definetly exploring all of Tamriel, experiencing the forests of Valenwood, the deserts of Elsweyr and the swamps of Black Marsh will be so exciting. I am hoping Tamriel is shown as extremely large, taking large amounts of time to travel from one province to another.

I'm looking forward to the guilds. A guild of all Bosmer working for the Aldmeri Dominion, taking over large swaths of land in Cyrodiil? Yes please.

The Ruby Throne is mine. I AM CYRODILL COME.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

I'm really looking forward to exploring Tamriel. From a few of the videos I've seen, the world looks great. That added with the fact that every area in the game is done by hand, I'm hoping that each area will be unique. Can't wait!

Exploration. :) I've never been really interested in the main quests in any of the TES games, for me the whole hook of TES is the be what you want aspect. I hope that in TESO that people aren't "forced" into joining guilds/factions if they don't want to.

You probably won't be forced into joining anything, though you'll most certainly be stuck with whichever faction your race is affiliated with.

I think that exploring the whole of Tamriel is going to be beyond exciting: seeing old favorites and discovering new ones - and being able to share that experience with others! Now that's awesome!

You probably won't get the opportunity, Avron. If my hunch is correct, almost everyone is going to be apart of the Ebonheart Pact. You don't put Dunmer (and their gods, at the height of their power!), Nords (both the Dunmer and Nords are fan favorites and recently subjects of games), and Argonians (another fan favorite), all in the same faction and don't expect to see them curbstomp everyone. The better question will be if they'll actually work together, not if they'll win. That's what I am looking forward to the most, watching the other factions being crushed by a never ending wave of Dunmer, Nords, and Argonians.

Also, if guilds can only be one faction, then I think we're going to be enforcing the "You must be Ebonheart Pact." rule. It's the only way we'll keep almost everyone happy.

A toss-up between exploring Tamriel and adventuring with friends :> The entire series of games has introduced huge worlds with a lot of lore and story behind it, so it'd be nice to be able to see some of these things for ourselves (I'm especially interested in seeing how Cyrodiil and High Rock would be handled, that would be interesting).

I am, of course, worried about the maintenance regarding servers and whatnot. Still, excited and looking forward to it, I know I'm going to sink waaaay too many hours into it.

I'm not sure if the factions will turn out all that great. I'm most excited about exploring Tamriel, especially the provinces we haven't seen yet. :D

I am excited to see Morrowind/Vvardenfell in higher def graphic :D

I am just hoping they don't "shrink" the size of the continents, or change too much terrain, but that may be inevitable :/

The Thalmor really have tarnished the reputation of the Altmer. Many players who do not go in depth into lore will simply write off the Altmer as "that evil race who attack me on the raod". Which suckes because the non-Thalmor Altmer really have some interesting history.

The thrill of exploration, discovery of things which may add to my knowledge of the lore as well. C: That's always my main thing when it comes to games, along with storylines and characters.

I want to explore Summerset! And the rest of Tamriel, really. Especially Elsweyr, Black Marsh, Valenwood, and Morrowind. Basically all the really cool exotic locations.
