If you lived in Skyrim ...What would you do??
This question "If you lived in Tamriel, what would you do?" has been asked in the Oblivion portion of the forums. It has produced some very interesting comments. So Id like to narrow it down and ask if you lived in Skyrim (exclusively) what would you do and how would you live? What would you do for work, what guilds/factions would you join ect, ect.

I would spend my time secretly plotting the demise of the empire from the inside out in order to reform it so that we may destroy the Thalmor

There's a dead thread about this, but basically I said I would be on the next cart to High Rock. Oh wait, that's exactly what I said. War, dragons, Thalmor, Vampires, Giants, skeevers, and so on. Get out fast, bro, get out fast. Bretons are cooler than Nords anyway.
Or that, I would always load with clothes.philfredobob wrote:Be a revolutionary courier who wears TROUSERS !

Hard to believe that was just three months ago; it seems like half a lifetime. Must be one of those weird time compression side effects of forumitis.

I would join the College of Winterhold, become skilled in Restoration, then become a war healer in the Imperial Legion.

Are you setting up shop in a town with no blacksmith or eliminating the competition?derp53 wrote:I would be the only town blacksmith, lots of demand for Blacksmith's these days
As for me, why not stay close to what I do irl. Skyrim looks like a place that would be desperate for insurance.

I'd either study magic at the College of Winterhold, or I would join up with the Volkihar Vampires.
Or study magic first and then join up with the Vampires. No reason why I couldn't do both.

I'd just set up shop in a big city with enough patrons for more than two blacksmith's or set up shop in a town without a blacksmithp-sto wrote:Are you setting up shop in a town with no blacksmith or eliminating the competition?derp53 wrote:I would be the only town blacksmith, lots of demand for Blacksmith's these days

Re: If you lived in Skyrim ...What would you do??
Assuming I could have all the skills of my Breton Ranger character, I'd set up my own outdoor depot/trading post/mercenary business. I'd just look for those who are good with bows, smart on their feet, quiet when stalking their prey, and offer them a job working for my outfit. We would offer hunting supplies, archery lessons, wilderness safaris, and maybe even guided dungeon/ruin raids for those with the coin to pay us. We would rival the Companions when we became famous enough, and perchance snag Aela the huntress away from them. As to with whom we would side in the civil war, well let's just say our bows would go to the highest bidder (unless they are Thalmor...They get the business end of our broad tipped arrows).

I'd hire a Bard and have him/her play some Bob Marley while I smoke some Nirnroot.

I would form a Assassins guild for the greater good. Train them, and set them off to kill tyrants and evil alike.

I dunno, but I am thinking a Wandering Bard, for the simple fact that the one in Skyrim has very similar views on life to my own.

If I lived in Skyrim, I think I'd just wander the countryside, looking at nature...I'd probably get killed by bandits, but at least it would a beautiful walk!

I would be a wicked little mage. My type of fun would be blowing up and raiding bandit camps then selling the loot to make my house have nicer things. Just like I already do in the game.
But seriously, I would be into making jewelery, enchanting then selling it. And I would have a huge alchemical garden.

I would be the badass warrior/thief I always wanted to be, basically annoy the rich and royalty
and also hunt down Farkas.
A hero can be anyone, even a man doing some as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boy's shoulders to let him know the world hadn't ended.

Associating yourself with (but not joining) the Thieves Guild seems like the best way to become rich and successful.

I'd probably just work a regular nine to five job like in real life. Fishery, meadery, farm etc.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

I'd form an alliance of the thousands of random bandits in caves and forts and take over the whole place.

I would either be Urag gro-Shub's assistant in the College of Winterhold, or running a museum or library in one of the other holds. Got to put my book and artifact hoarding compulsion to good use!
