Feather snakes, voriplasms, flesh flies, and all manner of crazy stuff in Black Marsh. And some new lore on the Argonian tribes.

I want the world to be big enough to avoid the impression that 95% of people in Tamriel are adventuring heroes.

One of the reasons why the TES world is so amazingly immersive is that for every bandit/essential NPC you meet a whole bunch of regular folk just living their lives. They do absolutely nothing for the plot, it's not even worth it to rob them or train your skills by killing them (they have nothing of value and it's easier to go hunt some rats), but they make the world look alive. Now, if in TESO we have dozens of heroes garthered on the village green in some tiny hamlet with five cottages, the immersion will be gone.

More varied quests -glares angrily at WoW- Like the single player only TES.

^this. Also, I would like to see legitimate crime factions and joinable authority factions that war with each other besides the great war. Like the thieves guild or the dark brotherhood in constant PvP with player guards.

I like this idea, but I think it would make thieving 10 times more difficult. Real people are much harder to fool than some dumb AI (and won't ignore the fact that you're going through their stuff just because you have the "Sneak" key pressed). ;)

My biggest wish for TES: O is that they put a disproportionately large amount of time into Morrowind so I never feel like I should leave.

Pretty much everything on my wishlist so far has to deal with the physical appearance of the races. I plan to make one character of each race, the only two I don't have a name and a general roll for is the orc and the altmer.

Firstly, and most importantly, I want to be able to choose between several different Khajiit types. Ohmes(-raht), Suthay(-raht), and Cathay(-raht). Maybe even Dagi(-raht) and Tojay(-raht), though we don't even know whether or not the Tojay's are bipedal, so maybe not the Tojay. We should also be able to see all the types of Khajiit in Elsweyr. Also I want a lot of choices in fur color, quality, and pattern. Also plenty of tattoo choices for the Ohmes(-raht). The desert of Elsweyr should have giant sand worms, with a wide aggro range.

Secondly I want to see some kind of a hist sap slider for the argonian characters, to determine what kind of argonian they are. And a wide and varied selection of scale colors available. For Blackmarsh itself, I want there to be a lot of ways to die. It should be a complete death trap to any non-argonains. Although nords and dunmer should be able to stick to the well-lit protected paths, those from the other two factions have to trek through the wilderness.

For orcs, I mainly want them to look like they do in Skyrim, I love their look in Skyrim. And since they don't have a province of their own, I want their stronghold of Orsinium to be glorious. They should also have a fair number of strongholds in Highrock and Hammerfell.

We have seen one screenshot that definitely is a breton female, though she is wearing a big helmet. I like what I can see so far, I would like it to be obvious that they are sort of, half-mer. I also hope that there are join-able witch-covens, as I plan on making my breton a witch. Also when you go to Highrock, you should see the political intrigue, and have plenty of quests that don't involve collecting 20 bear livers.

As for Nords and Skyrim, we have all those Nordic ruins, I would like to see them in better repair. Maybe get a hint of what they were like as real living cities. Also if they are going to bring back warpaint, nords should have a wide variety of choices. I would also like to see explanations of what each warpaint design means or represents, for RP purposes.

For the Redguards, this might be a bit controversial, I don't want to see any pale Redguards. I hate when I see someone playing as a pale(as they are) Redguard, because they like the stats and racial perk, but are just so racist that they can't roll a human character that is darker than they are. If you can play as a cat, a lizard, or a dark black-grey-bluish person with pointy ears, then you can play as a person of a different shade of the same hue.

For the races of mer(or at least the non-corrupted, and relatively non-corrupted), I want them to keep their alien race look. In the screenshots and trailer, we have seen pointy eared humans. These are a step backwards to oblivion, not keeping up with the wonderful changes made to these three races in Skyrim. I want a bosmer with solid black eyes, like shiny pools of liquid night. I want to see odd, alien facial anatomy, as if they evolved down a completely different path from man.

The first Orsinium was little more than a squalid fort filled with goblins and ogres as well as orcs. Of course, that's based on the first Pocket Guide, i.e. Imperial propaganda, but I still wouldn't expect to find a glorious stronghold of honourable Orsimer chieftains; the orcish inhabitants were ex-slaves and were still considered to be beasts.

Oh that's right! They weren't even playable till Morrowind. I wonder how they will be treated here then, since it's just under 800 years before Morrowind, going to be interesting when they try to explain that.

The Blight likely won't be an issue. Its appearance in Morrowind was supposedly a "reawakening", implying that it wasn't a regular occurrence. Dagoth Ur is probably still asleep during the events of TES Online.

But then again, I wouldn't put it past the devs. They've already ignored Cyrodiil's climate; small issues such as Orcish citizenship and Vvardenfell weather patterns may be overlooked.

This always bugged me. The character art for the Bretons always has them looking a slight bit mer, particularly in the face, but in games they always seem more or less like Imperials. I guess perhaps they've watered down, but in a game predating what we're familiar with, I wonder if there wouldn't be more of a distinction for the Bretons.

People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but *actually* from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint - it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly... time-y wimey... stuff.

It may seem menial to some, but I'd like to see significant control exercised over PC naming conventions. This is a huge pet peeve of mine, most notably in MMO's.

In LOTRO, for instance, there is a function that quite literally forces you to pick a name for your character that is lore-appropriate. And they're surprisingly strict about this (No naming your character SimplyWalksIntoMordor).

Seeing Nords running around with names like "1337axePWNZu" would be more than enough to make me give up on the game completely.

This exactly, there shall be no breaking of my immersion. I had a trial of Guild Wars once, and I think they had a first name last name kind of thing for each character made. So perhaps it would be possible to implement something like that, depending on the race. Perhaps also allowing "-" for argonians, or selecting a lore appropriate prefix like "Dar'" for khajiit.

I do think that would be a nice touch, if it was an intelligent one. For instance, I'd still like the be Avron the S'wit, and that would be a great name if I played a Dunmer. What if I wanted to be a Breton named Avron the S'wit (provided I had a nifty backstory for being called a s'wit - perhaps given to me in some wayward travel with a Dunmer companion)? As long as they regulate that, I'm fine. I'd hate to have to use my usual gamertag (nosoundcomes) and have that pop up as my name.

That's usually not very well maintained, but I guess it depends on how much the MMO will focus on roleplaying than just grinding and playing. I find MMOs with a heavier focus on the story tend to get players who do comply very willingly to appropriate names; I never had any absurdly named ones in the MMOs as such that I played. Ones played more just for fun are more lenient.

And Yahtzee would complain about it in his review if he couldn't name his character Bollocks Muncher or something similar.

With the success of Skyrim, TES franchise has achieved a pretty firm grasp on the mainstream. Along with this comes the inevitable hordes of zombies. There will of course be a solid group of die-hard Elder Scrolls fans attempting to roleplay their way through TESO. But there will also be swarms of what I might call "casual gamers", for lack of a better term.

Because of this, I'm anticipating the devs will err more on the lenient side.
