Time to break out the calculator and figure out how much money you spent on boolets.

Re: Team Fortress 2 Free-To-Play
I finally had some time in coop. I gotta say my first time playing was really quite exciting. I was able to jump in a public game right away
I switched to Engineer early on because we didn't have one and that turned the game around. I don't know though if I could be as effective in any other class. It's a lot of fun though quickly re-positioning your sentry repeatedly while trying to out-maneuver the sentry buster & keep the damage rolling.
Anyone develop any good strategies for coop?

Make sure your Dispenser is somewhere that a solider/demoman can cover the spawns without worrying about the dispenser getting blown up/them running out of ammo.

The Fronteir Justice or whatever it's called shotgun for the Engineer is Awesome for MvM. When the bots blow your sentry you have 30-howevermany crits ready on your shotty - a LOT more effective for me than the regular shotgun

Also no, Frontier Justice sucks. When I played Engineer my main weapon was my sentry. The Wrangler is a must. It owns so freaking bad. Massive damage, massive speed + increased speed

Wrangler is secondary weapon - it replaces the pistol not the shotgun. I carry both (fronteir justice and wrangler)The Raven wrote: Also no, Frontier Justice sucks. The problem I have with the Wrangler in MvM is the delay between when you switch it off and when the sentry starts firing again. Certain situations I can use the wrangler, others I have to just smack the sentry to keep enough ammo in it. Also when there's snipers ... I can keep cover and keep repairing the sentry
I lost a sentry with almost 100 kills on it today ... that's a lot of crits on the fronteir justice, and beats the crap outta the shotgun. Obviously I'd rather have a sentry, but when it goes down ... Revenge crits

1MB = 1 megabyte per second.
1 megabyte = 8 megabits.
Therefore General can download one-eighth of a megabyte per second, which is 120 kilobytes per second. I can download 12.5 megabytes per second, although it never gets that high.
Team Fortress 2 is a massive game these days. I think it's approaching three times the size it was at launch. It takes quite a while to download all those hats.

They should probably just cut all that FPS and non-trading multiplayer bull out of the install. All that extra space might give them room for an even bigger tower of hats.

Re: Team Fortress 2 Free-To-Play
One of my friends just got scammed out of £340 worth of TF2 items. A trade went bad, and the person he was selling to masqueraded as another friend who was playing middle man and essentially took the items from him.
I don't quite have the heart to tell him he should be more [&@%!] careful about this, because he knows it. But as I said to another guy, I'm torn somewhere between pity and stifling my laughter.

Re: Team Fortress 2 Free-To-Play
Wow ...
340 gbp in ITEMS? I didn't know you could manage to spend that much on that stuff. I have a hard time imagining spending a tenth of that on tf2 toys. And that's just what he was trading ... I've been playing on and off since the week tf2 came out but now I feel like I've been playing an entirely different game than some people. I .. um .. have 13 Mann-co crates, only 10 gbp!
Seriously, how many copies of TF2 does 340 pounds buy?
At that point I would certainly contact Valve

i don't think Tom meant bought items, just..items.
They have an inherant value, even though you got them off a drop.

Re: Team Fortress 2 Free-To-Play
I haven't spent one penny on items, except for that time when I bought a key. And apparently it was 340 dollars, not pounds. Those hats can be expensive.
As for contacting Valve about it, I'm not sure it's really a practice they condone.

Ooh, I might be interested in the Scotsman's Skullcutter. Check my inventory on steam. I doubt I have anything but if you want something(s), I'd gladly trade.

Is that my old Skullcutter, by any chance?
I'll take the Direct Hit fo' sho'. Dunno if you want any of my stuff but take a look at what I've got. The only thing on there that's absolutely 100% off limits is my Strange Rocket Launcher.

How about a cowboy hat for the Soldier in exchange for the Strange DH? It's a pretty cool hat but I'm not as attached to it as I am with my Scout Cross-Comm hat. Also why are you suddenly looking to get rid of your Direct Hit? Unless you have two now.

Hell, if it makes it any better, you can have every crate I own. I'm not going to open them, and by the time another free key comes around I'll have found another hundred of them.Mars wrote:The Crate #29 looks promising.
