Planet Trugomar: Humanity's Last Stand

Post by Imp »

Planet Trugomar

Mechanics
This is an Rp set in an original world. You are immigrating to this new wolrd as a human. In this world, you are the first set of humans to reach Planet Trugomar, and you are striving for your last stand, coming out of your world, and into a new one, as an explorer for the rest of the humans. You will discover something you would wish you never knew.

You start out knowing nothing of Trugomar, but don’t worry; I have everything about the whole world down on word documents. This is because part of the fun of this Rp is to discover things for yourself.

You

Information on Humans and Earth:

They have names like those of the present day
They live for roughly 150 years
They are very averagely skilled
Earth has become anitsocial, and survival is more important than living
They come from a world where life is hell, you cannot go anywhere without inhaling a deadly amount of pollution

TIMELINE (May be confusing please ask questions, and I will see what I can answer)

December 25, 2012: Earth’s Nuclear Pollution becomes so atrocious; the UN decides they need to launch it routinely into the sun.

January 23, 2013: First launch to the sun goes well.

January 23, 2015: Second launch misses the sun. Destination: Unknown. Calculations are reset.

March 17, 2018: Third launch to the sun goes well.

March 30, 2018: Fourth launch to the sun. Emergency launch to the sun. Destination: Same as 2015

November 4, 2020: Fifth launch to the sun. Destination: Same as 2015 and 2018

May 25, 2027: Sixth launch to the sun, goes well.

October 12, 2033: Seventh launch to the sun, goes well.

March 30, 2037: Eighth launch to the sun, goes well.

June 12, 2040: Ninth launch to the sun, goes well.

December 18, 2041: Tenth launch goes up. Transmission from Glass Galaxy, explaining that a missile passed their planet on 2036. One of their moons were hit on 2039, and their planet was just hit. After the transmission, the tenth launch came back down onto Earth.

December 20, 2065: The Run'Ton species is discovered on Earth, who launched themselves to another planet as habitual as Earth, close to the planet that the humans accidently nuked. This planet is named Trugomar.

PERKS:

I have come to the realization that most Rps here today that are very active seem to have perks. Why not? They seem fun to make. The perks you can choose are unlimited, but here may be some that I won't allow you to have, while having others. If you see the word, 'subconciously', it means if you don't manually act as the perk describes you as, I will have to take control of your character to do that, to an extent... You will see what I mean.:
Spoiler:
A closed mouth gathers no feet.- You aren't very talkative, which could be good and bad.

All power corrupts, but we need electricity.- Great with electronics, but stereotyped as lazy.

All things considered, insanity may be the only reasonable alternative.- People see you as crazy. Which could be good and bad

Anything not nailed down is mine. Anything I can pry loose is not nailed down.- Great thief, but find yourself subconciously stealing the harder target

Avoid cliches like the plague ... they're a dime a dozen.- You aren't as liked, but not as easily decieved

Back off, man ... I'm a scientist!- You are a genius, but looked down upon due to cockiness

Be yourself ... It's a dirty job, but somebody's got to do it.- You are unlucky, but people are generally kinder to you.

Berserkers do it without thinking.- You are a great melee fighter, but find yourself subconciously going into the heat of the fight.

Better dead than mellow.- You find yourself to be popular, but subconciously taking more dangerous risks.

Bombs don't kill people ... explosions kill people.- Explosives do more damage, but your blast radius is always different.

Born to be cuddled.- You have a larger chance to be a friend with someone, but just friends.

Born to shop.- You get better prices, but subconciously find yourself buying more things than you planned on getting, even if you are in debt.

Built for comfort, not for speed.- Unpopular but feel warnings when something could turn out dangerous.

Caffiend!- You have a lot more stanima, but find yourself to be very enegetic

Certified Public Assassin- You are a great assassin, but you look like one.

Eat the rich ... the poor are tough and stringy.- You are poor, and the rich hate you, and you subconciously hate them

Excuse me while I change into something more formidable.- you are rich, and the poor hate you, and you subconciously hate them.

Go, lemmings, go!- Your followers are more likely to sacrifice themselves, which could be good and bad

Happiness is the Planet Earth in your rear view mirror.- You have a high morale, but you are looked upon in disgust

Have a nice day somewhere else.- You find yourself subconciously grumpy

I am not conceited ... I just can't stand mortals.- Other races love you, almost godlike. But, your own race hates you if you accept the treatment

I don't like violence, but I'm very good at it.-You are great at martial arts, but find yourself subconciously backing down from not needed fights

I warn you not to underestimate my powers.- Your appearance is intimidating, which could be both good and bad

If you're going to walk on thin ice, you may as well dance.- You find yourself subconciously trying to annoy people, which could be good and bad

It's been lovely, but I have to scream now.- You scream in scary situations, which could be good and bad

Just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get you.- You tend to be frightend more easily, but usually see things coming

Kiss me. I'm not Irish, but don't let that stop you.- You find yourself subconciously 'horny', which could be good and bad

Let's split up ... we can do more damage that way.- Your followers don't follow you often, which could be good and bad

Nasty, Brutish and Short- Short and hot tempered, Could be good and bad

Prepare for the future ... Read Science Fiction.- You have a good idea of what could be coming, but are looked upon strangely

Smurf Exterminator- You enjoy killing hopeless things, Which could be good and bad

Success is acheiving the top of the food chain.- You don't feel guilty being a cannibal, but must do it often

Support Free Trade ... Smuggle!- You are a good smuggler, but look like one

Support your local thieve's guild ... Leave your doors unlocked- You are a good theif, but look like one

Take me drunk ... I'm home again.- Stronger than most, and stronger tolderance to alcohol. You subconciously find yourself getting drunk.

What's the good of being grown up if you can't be childish?- You get along with children better, but not with adults

You can lead a horse to water, but if you can get him to swim on his back, you've got something.- Most creatures like you, but it is harder to do damage toward them.

Various Information

I have been told by multiple people that detail is needed in an rp for the OP. But please, trust me that I already have different lore already written down. I hope you understand that giving the lore out would ruin the rp partially.

I may add more here before the rp starts, but I am not sure. It is hard to think of things that won't spoil much:

Ahh, what he heck Here is a map. It just shows places, and their names, but it still is a map.
Spoiler:
Image
The map is set up a lot like something Skyrim would be, with holds, and each one containing a main city, along with Thorps and villages.
There is a large variety of creatures and plants across Trugomar.
There are more than the several civilized races.
There is a war currently going on (Not including humans.)
Relgion plays a big part in the RP, but isn't complicated.
Trugomar is a lot like the modern world, but has and doesn't have things that the modern world has.
There is a multitude of weapons in this game, from magic, to guns, to bows, to swords.
Don't be to good with guns, even though they are more effective than a lot of things, but... you will see.
Magic can only be controled through wands.
Like staves in elder scrolls, each wand controls a different spell.

Do you think I should have only one line available? And make it more structured?

If anYone is making a sheet, stop, unless it is human. I am changing it to humans only, and the adventure quest line. The reparation will be made shortly.

EDIT: I may, or may not of fixed it for the better.

Is the Glass Galaxy an actual galaxy in this universe or is it just a name given to a star of this universe?

Seems interesting. 40 points to spend in attributes seems a bit much. And for da money..."Wealthy, wealthy". Probably meant "Wealthy, Very Wealthy"

I shall think on making a character...Hmmm...

And shouldn't it be Humanity's Last Stand?

But I like the attributes because it allows an average skill if everything, and something exceptional. Or,a well balanced talented person.
