But people are still going to buy it and no one forced you to do so. You could have waited to see reviews or watched gameplay. They will not give a refund when some people were satisfied with the prduct. If you did not find the expansion to your liking then I'm sorry you lost 20$/euros or what ever currency you happen to have.

Re: Angry about Dawnguard?
Who cares about refunds, I haven't even got the chance to complain about how boring the expansion was, or how I wasted $20 yet, where is the justice?

Re: Angry about Dawnguard?
That's not the point, the point is I just want the chance, and Skyrim and Oblivion work fine on my PS3, I rarely had any problems, even before the latest patches, the people who complain need to by a PS3 with a bigger hard drive, or go back to playing smaller games.

Well I'm not a magical fairy. I can't make the wishes come true. The expansion WILL come, just be patient or don't be. It will still come when it is ready no amount of complaining on our part will fix it.

I'm not complaining I'm stating a fact, and when did Bethesda say it was coming. Never, they said as long as our(PS3ers) experience is worse, it actually won't be released. Sounds like a no, to me.

Re: Angry about Dawnguard?
I've seen several recent posts from Bethesda that said “We are not yet satisfied with Dawnguard’s performance on the PS3. We would like for everyone to have a chance to play Dawnguard, but we aren’t going to release it for PS3 knowing that some people’s experience in Skyrim will be worse. We do everything we can to have our content available to all; from our free updates, to user mods, to paid DLC. We’re as disappointed as our fans when that isn’t the case, but we’ll continue to push for that reality.”Br3admax wrote:I'm not complaining I'm stating a fact, and when did Bethesda say it was coming. So at least they're waiting for a reason. Would you prefer for them to release a bugged/glitchy mess like before "on time" or a late product that actually runs?

You just reposted what they, and right there it says

In all honesty, though, Bethesda really needs to get a handle on this "bug" issue. It is highly unprofessional of them to release something so malfunctional for distribution. In most other industries, an equivalent product would warrant a refund, or at the very least, some sort of generous compensation, or risk losing a large portion of sales on bad reviews and dissatisfied customers.
They do... when a crappy game like two worlds or Fable can charge $60 for an inferior game with less than 1/2 of the content, BGS is basically giving you a 1/2 off coupon. I think that more than suffices. If they charged me 129.99 for the game I would have bought it. And since I have had a relatively bug free existence, it would have been money well spent. You can literally make your own game if you have the PC version. There are hundreds of hours of things to waste time in, and unparallelled replay value.
The features arent needed, they were requested, and BGS kindly granted.

If any ps3 players were still waiting for Dawnguard, let me crush your dreams. I'm even more sure we will never have it then ever before. I've givenn up hope on ever owning Dawnguard. I guess there is always youtube, right. It may still come out, but at this point I highly doubt it.

Bethesda should at least release the non dawnguard related files like the lycanthropy perk tree if they aren't going to give out dawnguard :/

Is it really THAT big of a problem that they can't fix it? Does it set the console on fire when you start the game up or something?Br3admax wrote:If any ps3 players were still waiting for Dawnguard, let me crush your dreams. Re: Angry about Dawnguard?
I think Bethesda is hurting its relationship with PS3 users by not getting it to us in a timely fashion. Also now they are releasing a second DLC for XBox when PS3 still doesn't have the first!!!! THAT is just a slap in the face!!!
It drives me mad and makes me angry.
I feel as if Bethesda is basically saying they don't care about PS3 users!
I think that Bethesda definitely owes PS3 users a little something special such as the two DLCs and maybe an exclusive map or SOMETHING showing they care about their PS3 users.
And thats a shame since they have such a large PS3 following.Hissien wrote:Ps3 and bethesda games do not work out well........ Ever.

It's not their faults, many game componys that work with all systems have the most problems with PS3.Achilles Septimius wrote:I think Bethesda is hurting its relationship with PS3 users by not getting it to us in a timely fashion. Re: Angry about Dawnguard?
Honestly, I think you are over reacting. Instead of releasing a DLC which Bethesda believe will be detrimental to overall gameplay on the PS3, they are trying to fix the issue before it is released. They are obviously having problems gettiing the game onto the PS3 (and from what I have heard, it isn't limited to Skyrim, as a lot of companies are having the same from as Wolfie pointed out). If they released it too early and there were problems you would be screaming 'bloody murder', just like you are now. Just be patient, I am sure you will get your turn eventually.

I reckon Microsoft is using dirty methods to drive the competition (PS3) out of the way and Bethesda is just taking the bribes.

Re: Angry about Dawnguard?
I just wish I knew about all this before I purchased Skyrim on PS3. If only I had the foresight to get the PC version all this frustration could have been avoided. Curse you stupid hands, for preferring PS3 controllers over keyboards. Also what is the reason that makes PS3 so much harder to program? Does anyone actually know the details?

^^ Skyrim worked for PS3 so I don't get why programming something smaller such as dlc is so hard. Your guess is as good as mine Mr.Argonian.

Re: Angry about Dawnguard?
I own a Xbox and a pretty solid gaming PC, the way I see, I'll get sport games and lesser games that are just to pass the time between big releases on Xbox. Titles I really want are always better on PC, I have never seen a game that was better on a console plus the ability to use mods is pretty much a no-brainer. I do feel for the PS3 users though, while its never been officially announced on PS3 it would be nice to see a definitive answer one way or another.

Re: Angry about Dawnguard?
My thoughts, which are pure speculation, are that the "performance issues" arise from the unintended consequences of the way Sony engineered the PS3's split RAM system. Skyrim alone already bumps up against these artificial limits. Skyrim + DLC is only going to make things worse, probably to the point of unplayability.Tiber-Septim wrote:So I just found out that Dawnguard has been released for PC which leaves us PS3 users haunted by the fact that we are missing out on all the fun. According to the main page PS3 has to wait because of performance issues. What performance issues? How long do we have to wait? Is anybody else confused and angry? What are your thoughts?
If what I said is true, this situation isn't Bethesda's fault. I'm sure they're jumping through some weird flaming hoops to try and get things up and running. The true fault lies with Sony, who, in hindsight, made an engineering decision that artificially crippled the performance potential of the PS3.

Re: Angry about Dawnguard?
Pretty much the only reason I use consoles is because of the controllers. I don't like using keyboards for games, I always press the wrong key. And seeing as I had a PS2 I simply bought a PS3. Hopefully when the PS4 is released these issues will be fixed, otherwise I may be tempted to buy an XBOX 720GoatLiver wrote:I own a Xbox and a pretty solid gaming PC, the way I see, I'll get sport games and lesser games that are just to pass the time between big releases on Xbox.
