Your gaming platform of choice!

Post by Frost Mage »

So, simple question guys, what's your primary platform for gaming? I have to go with Xbox obviously, never really got into PC gaming, I don't know why, just doesn't appeal to me much. :P

inb4 console war, mmm'kay?

PC and Xbox.

Generally find that some games are more suited to one over the other, but I don't really prefer one over the other.

Nope. Sandbox is something like Minecraft, Terraria, etc.

PC for the current generation. It's just sad, seeing the same games being released for both consoles and PCs. Console and PC gaming used to be two different things, and everything was fine back then. Now it just depends on the horse power and wether or not you're able to use a keyboard for something that isn't typing.

Not trying to start an argument, but this is not a gaming platform.
Or at least, it shouldn't be considered one.

I prefer consoles but a powerful computer with an Xbox/Playstation joystick owns.

With it you can play pretty much every new game in Steam/Origin, etc.. (and mod them to the death) and there's always emulators all over the net to play the oldies.

I'm pretty sure a media platform that supports video games is a gaming platform, unless there's some secret third word in there I know nothing about.

Some 'hardcore' gamers find it hard to see casual games as 'real games'.

Well, the definition of gamers are people that play games as a hobby, and a lot. Most people that play games like Angry Birds just do it to kill time, and don't really know anything about gaming. But they're still legitimate, none the less.

I'm so sick of the elitists. Why should I feel bad that I'm playing a game on an Xbox instead of a gaming PC? I prefer playing games on my Xbox because I prefer the control scheme and the fact that you don't have to be in front of a desk all day. /rant

Or I could stop looking at so many console wars online. >.>

You could just ignore them, there is no need to get worked up about people dissing something as meaningless as a gaming platform.
Just play what you play.

Anyway, I use a N64, PS2, and my crappy lappy when I want to play a game.

Up until about a year ago, I would say my primary platform was Xbox. The majority of my game library was on my 360/Original Xbox. Then when I finally had a decent enough laptop to play games, I started to get more and more PC games. Now my 360 tends to only come out when I have friends over. But it will be back in full force for AC3.

Xbox. I prefer PC for the games that I can run (which are very few due to a crappy grahpics card)

You know, you've said countless times that the PC and PS3 are inferior to the Xbox, even though they aren't, right?

Show me a post where I've said that. First of all, even if I did, I was so far from the truth. Neither console or PCs are inferior the other, they all have their place.
