Re: Fallout: Vault 54
Ellie left the lift and started walking to the Overseer's control room.
So we have come to solve every squabble in the village personally?

Eric matched her pace and led the way to Kuo's office. He opened the door and gestured for her to enter first.

"You actually did it." said Kuo as they entered. He had a huge smile on his face. "Guess there is just one thing left to do." He went over to the compartment on the wall and opened it up. He took the GECK out.

Kuo looked at Eric smiling and nodding his head. He ran to the lift with the GECK. Ellie and her officers followed him.

"Right." said Lance holding the GECK. "I'm going to use this now. We'll get fertile land, power, everthing we need to improve Jacksbank and the surrounding area. Then our two people can join together to form one community. Everyone ready?" he added. "Hell yeah." said Ellie.

At last, freedom - real freedom, not the temporary reprieve promised by joining the scouting party - was within sight. A real life, not one of living underground, in the light of electric lamps rigged to mimic the sun. What other answer could there be?
"On behalf of the scouting party, definitely," said Eric.

Re: Fallout: Vault 54
Epilouge
Vault 54 and Jacksbank
With the GECK activated the town flurished. The two communities banded together. The soil was fetile and the power flowed. The residents of Vault 54 moved up to the surface. The dead were buried and the town cleaned up. By working together the town became an excellent place to live and a well known trading hub in the Gulf Commonwealth. The town was renamed Jacksvault.
Lance Kuo
Lance became the first mayor of Jacksvault. He proved to be a popular leader. He was re-elected as mayor for a number of terms before eventually steping down, citing health reasons. He died at age 64, a happy man. He had no family.
Ellie Earp
Ellie was heartbroken by her wife's death. However she stuck on as sheriff of the town. Under her the law was fair but at times ineffective. Crime continued in Jacksvault but on a much smaller scale than when the Ravagers were arround. Ellie eventually remarried, this time to a man from Texas. She lived a happy life, eventually dying at the age of 68. She only one child with her husband who would eventually go on to be sheriff himself.
Church of Cleansing Flame
The church was destroyed and all it's members dead. They died out forever. In the place of the church a group of ghouls built a statue of Jessica Woods, their saviour.
Ravagers
With most of their forces destroyed Tom followed Stone's advice. He turned the Ravager's into a group of mercenaries. While they never returned to the Gulf commonwealth in other parts of the wasteland the Ravager's were known as trustworthy mercenaries. Tom was eventually killed in action against a group of raiders at age 62.
Sarah Earp
Sarah was never able to become free of her new master. She soon became his favourite slave for more reasons than just her handy work with machines and fixing things. She had three children with him. Sarah was strung out, addicted to all sorts of chems, a mere shell of the happy girl she once was. Sarah died at age 31 from an overdose. It wasn't known if it was accidental or a suicide.
Doctor Smith
With the help of other doctors from the vault the clinic could help far more people. Over the years many lives were saved by the men and woman of his clinic. He eventually met his end after being attacked, robbed and left for dead by a junkie. He was 46 at the time of his death.
Faust
Faust left Jacksbank and never returned. Two years after leaving he became exposed to radiation and turned into a ghoul. It is unknown what happened to him after that.
Recipe
She recovered from her wounds and continued on as the cook in the tavern despite it's new owner. Eventually she became the owner after the old one passed on.
Orphaned Boy
The boy East saved found out both of his parents died. At age 16 he became one of the police officers in the town.
Tenpenny
Tennpenny continued to try and discover a cure for the ghoul condition but failed. People stayed away from his home, still believing it was haunted. Some nights people still say they can hear screams coming from the house.
Ghouls
The ghoul quarter ceased to exist and the remaining ghouls lived without fear of the church. They discorved what Jessica had done and declared her a hero. Jessica Woods became the parton saint of ghouls. Her birthday is now an annual holiday. Nobody every made the connection between her and the death of Billy.
Berkins
Someone else took over his store. Ellie placed a bounty on the head of Bo for a double murder and theft.

Re: Fallout: Vault 54
Brandon Sweeney's worst fear had come to fruition. The last of his line, having never fathered any children, the Sweeney family was dead. The blast which destroyed the Church also destroyed Sweeney's remains; his only legacy was his family's rifle and his treasured Stradivarius violin, the latter of which would be passed down through generations of Jacksbank residents, through many different families. The songs it sang were Brandon's last words, the haunting echo of a young man cut down in the prime of his life.
Ezekiel Stone was a big, hard man, who suffered a hard fall. His coldness, pushed to revenge after Alex's savage attempt on his life, was his undoing. A few old, retired caravan leaders out west would vaguely remember someone who effortlessly saved their expedition from raiders, but in the end, Ezekiel's corpse was looted and forgotten, just another heap of bones in the wasteland.
Lin Bohai fled Jacksbank after securing supplies and, unfortunately, killing two men, which he did without an ounce of pleasure. The few posses that tried to pick up the old ghoul's trail failed. After years of surviving on his own in the wasteland, following his country's destruction and the death of his family, Bo became a ghost, in every sense of the word. Very few would see more than a shadow, as he made his way back northwest, scavenging and trading every now and then for needed supplies. The people that did see him would, if ever asked, report a ghastly creature with a face like that out of an old horror story, and a demeanor that suggested a long, hard life. He largely kept to himself, occasionally sharing a meal or some caps with a few poorer folk, or helping to protect innocents from slavers or raiders, but Bo simply vanished. Whether he died somewhere out in the wasteland, or is still surviving to this day is simply unknown. The only peace Lin Bohai would find, if it could find him, would be six feet of dirt, that he might be reunited with his family in the afterlife.

Re: Fallout: Vault 54
Tori
Tori emerged from the vault a sullen, angry girl, still a child, but she returned an adult. Within a few moths, she left behind the black dye and the mascara and the nail polish, and rather forcefully dragged Jordan into marriage after her belly started to swell. She was instrumental in helping Jacksbank's fledgling electronics and computers systems, which the Vault dwellers brought with them.
In the end, the rebellious girl who left the vault became a strong, independent woman, married and with a family.
She tried her best to keep in touch with Adrienne and Spencer when she could. Spencer was silly, but he was a friend. And Adriene... Was the only person she felt she could consistently trust throughout her life.
She let her father, neglected for so long, back into her life, though he probably wasn't pleased by how little time it took for her to supply him with a grand-kid.
Fury
Fury grew up fast, and she grew up to be a big, strong, protective dog. She was a part of the family, and could rarely be separated from Tori and Jordan's kids.

Re: Fallout: Vault 54
East and Adrienne
United by the challenges outside the Vault, East and Adrienne were married – a small but grand affair without the tuxedo or the white dress. The union might have gotten some curious considerations from Vault dwellers who knew the two, Spencer included, but it didn't quite matter. As the days went on and the two became more acquainted, and it was obvious to see that they were rather happy to add to the other's already adventurous life. Their new love didn't replace previously founded ones, but it did enrich both their lives.
East thought about taking over Faust's, but figured there were better people for the job. Instead he went into semi-retirement and got a part-time job at the Jacksvault Cinema playing movies. Every Friday he would take Adrienne to see the show, to make up for the one time they never got the opportunity to go to. Saturday he played cartoons for the young children of the town. After the film he would sit back and tell the tale of how Jackvault came to be, telling of the heroism of many and the cowardice of a few.
East passed peacefully at home at the ripe old age of 85. With no heir the Press name died with Easton, but it would live on in the hearts and minds of those that East would have at one point called punks. He died with love in his heart and a smile on his face.
Adrienne continued to teach, her classes now including residents of Jacksbank, human and ghoul alike. After a few years she was able to turn an old building in town into a proper school. She served the community as loyally and closely as she could, even after she removed herself from the classroom. She held tight to Sweeney's hunting rifle, giving it a place of honor in her new home. It would one day venture out into the wastes again with a particularly skilled marksman, where rumor was it killed quite a number of cougars.
Adrienne Bennett Press lived a happy life, even after Easton, and passed on with no regrets…not a one.
Ginger outlived both East and Adrienne. She lived in Jacksvault and became the town pet.

Eric Westchester opened a small medical practice in town, which became the preferred clinic for former vault dwellers and the original townspeople alike. He married a fellow doctor from Virginia at the age of thirty-eight, and together they had three sons. He pioneered a curious habit of growing plants on his roof, and wrote a series of medical textbooks which became the preferred guide for doctors across the south. He died three days after his one-hundredth birthday, likely the last of the original scouting party to pass. He was succeeded by his three sons and several grandchildren.

Re: Fallout: Vault 54
Terrence Dean Richardson was no longer a 'kid' anymore, he had been trialed, and the majority of the time, he had succeeded, he was a man. But the death of his brother was something Terrence could never get over. For a couple of years he stayed in Jacksvault, desperately trying to persuade himself that his brother would want him to live his life, instead of stewing in his own misery in the tavern.
Eventually, the last Richardson got up and left Jacksvault. He decided to 'go and live his life'. He wandered west. Although the people of Jacksvault would never see him again, the same rumour would occasionally float into town every now and then, the rumour that there was a man, who would take any job, for any pay, that would take him anywhere.

Jackie
Jackie grew up to be a fiercely loyal dog, he made sure to stay close to Chris and such, Adrienne and East, He at times visited the site where his old master died, the kitchen, he was a common sight in there. He visited the grave often as well.
Alex
After being buried, which would of happened, Most people would remember the nice sweet child he was before, not the blood thristy maniac he became on venturing out of the valut.

Buddy Linwood
In regard to a wanderer and mercenary such as Linwood the vault-goers' dramatic escapades served only as a reprieve from the usual rather than a veritable turning point- although acquaintances affirmed during the struggle for the area's livelihood remained given Jacksvault's continued viability and relevance, the nomad continued a lonely and fruitless existence as though awaiting epiphany.
On and on, day by day, step by step...

Re: Fallout: Vault 54
Irvine Gilead
Even with his newfound Vault membership, Irvine never did go to live in Jacksvault. He began wandering the southern wastes, returning the anti-material rifle and power armor the the other vault dwellers and going with his trusty sniper rifle and his leather duster.
He eventually found an old Vault-Tec building, and when checking the registry, he discovered that his old ex-fiancee Joanne had not only made it into a vault herself; she also had a son named Frost with her, his age indicating that he was conceived during the last night Irvine spent with her.
Irvine left in search of the vault and his son Frost, hoping to meet the child he had never known. However, during the last leg of his trip, a town he was staying the night in was besieged by ghouls looking for victims to devour. Irvine, as the only combat-able person in the town, trained the residents in basic combat and held the town in its defense, taking down dozens of ghouls before he was grievously injured by an exploding car that was damaged in the fight. Irvine continued fighting despite the fact that his left hand was blown off and he had lost use of his left eye completely, and finally collapsed from blood loss as the last ghoul fell.
The people of the town built a memorial for Irvine, standing his sniper rifle up and hanging his coat on it, renaming the town 'Irvine's Fall' in honor of their savior. He was buried on February 24th, at the age of 56.
As for Frost? That is a story for another day...
