Do you support gay marriage? How do you feel about women's rights? Abortion? Snakes on a Plane? The War in Iraq? Israeli Ceasefire? I'm sorry your answers are not ambiguous enough for me to support you for UESP President, please reapply under governator thread.

OK really funney but guess what im gonna answer all of them. I think gays can be bonded but unfortunatly the word marrigae means the formal union of a man and a woman, typically recognized by law, by which
they become husband and wife. (Oxford American Dictionary) I feel that the redefining of this word is unjust and should not be changed. Gays can be boned but they can not be married. Women deserive to have as many rigths as men unfortunatly, although we do not want to admit it, men do treat women differently. In the work place but also in many pirvate areas of life. Do you ever see male babysiters? Male nurses (meet the fockers doesn't count). Women are treated diferently. But on the side of men i must say the many femenist [&@%!] talk about womens rights but when they [&@%!] off a dude that guy cant beat the [&@%!] out of her like he would do with another guy, equal rights all around? I think not. Abortion is a touchy issue, and ill end it in one sentace, its a child not a chioce. Snakes on a plane will suck but i bet 90% of people in this forum will see it. Myself included. The War in Iraq has many faces. I think that America had an obligation to go there. Sadam Hussan was an evil man. He torchered the people of Iraq and should have been put out of power. But, what of the wepons of mass destruction? I would say that they did exites but a commonly over looked fact is that UN inspecters gave him a year to get rid of them. He also would not let people in his contry to inspect. So if he did not had them he miss lead them to believe he did. And lets not forget about 9/11. Sadam harbored terrorists in Iraq and getting rid of him was a move to prevent more terrorist acts in America. Ceasefire in the middle east never last long enough, like Cepple Show or South Park, or those percieous moments that we share with friends and family.

Thats all i got.

Politics on a game site?

Never a good idea, because it degenerates into people (correctly) telling you that you have no idea what you're talking about.

Well I've got a political (sort of anyhow!) question for you, even on a game site.

Spoilers for Unfriendly Competition.

Do you really think that Thoronir should have got off so easy??! He always did, and does, seem v. dodgy to me. He knew there was something up with the gear, and yet while Agarmir lands up paying with his life (well ok, he did start the fight), Thoronir is all forgiven and it's all fuzzy friends back at the Market District!!

I couldn't believe that the slimy little creep got away with it!!! Where is the justice in the (Tamriel) world??!!!

If you don't think justice has been served, you can always be judge, jury and executioner.

He had to suspect it was at least stolen. I don't buy his act either. On the other hand he likes me a lot now and pays me well for the gear I haul up out of the various caverns and what not.

Thanks Mandangalow for you opion, oh snap your not mandangalow.

Anyway, i did always think he got off light. Its not fair how after consiring with such shaddy charaters hes says sry and thats that. Thats bull people would have still been [&@%!] at him. Had he come to that concil place, i forgot the name, on his hands and knees begging for fogiveness they might have forgiven him at tiny, tiny, tiny bit. Otherwise they still would have hated him, but this is real world logic in a fictional game.

I've wanted to test this for awhile, but I didn't think of it until after I did the quest. If you shoot Adamus Phillida in the eye (like inside the visor of his helmet) will it kill him? The Rose of Sithis wouldnt have to go through armor =P

Unfortunately, Oblivion doesn't have such sophisticated armorspots, so it'll probably not work. If not, then you should also be able to deal critical hits to peoples heads.

Btw, I am pre-abortion. A kid can ruin someone elses life. and an unborn kid hasn't got a concious or something. Think of it as an animal.

I'm glad others agree with me about Thoronir. If I was ever tempted to kill any NPC's, he'd certainly be pretty near the top of my list! He's just too slimy and creepy!

I still get even better prices from screechy-voice Jensine. But then I don't see in IC much anymore, once you belong to the Mage's Guild, the Mage Merchants give the best deals by far.

OK mandangalow, here's another one for ya:

Spoilers for Dagon Shrine.

In this quest, I didn't even pretend for a mo to be their friends. Shot the gatekeeper and then snuck in to watch. Looking down at them, I poisoned by Bow with multi-damage + paralysis and shot Mankar Camoran. He is (as expected) unkillable at this point, but then I quickly jump down and run over to cut him to shreds (still satisfying even if I can't kill him!). Even while he's unconscious he can manage to open his portal and get back to (presumably?) paradise. But one time when I tried this, I was close enough for the portal to have the "door" icon. Tried activating it, but didn't do anything.

So my questions are: Was I just too slow to activate it (everything was happening pretty fast!)? Or is there (as I presume is the case) nothing to get to at that stage? And if there is nothing to get to, why do they bother with the door icon?!

I have not yet got to that stage of the main quest, but I think it is a door (hence the door icon), but it is only activated when a certain requirement has been met (don't know what it is, haven't played it yet ;)) But I guess something like that would be scriptable.

I used the console to kill him (knocked him unconscious actually) and ran to the portal. Needed a key, console unlocked it. used the portal, nothing happened.

Scripted event, single plotline, authors too busy debugging Radiant AI to ever bother with possiblity like alternate plotlines. He is supposed to get away and the game won't let you kill him, follow him or anything like that. "you're not supposed to be doing this".
VERY dumb, one of things I absolutely loathe about Oblivion.
There once was a Prince named Mehrunes
Whose buttocks sounded sonorous tunes
‘Twas an odiferous song
People sang before long
They had enough of his full crescent moons.

Radiant AI my ass. 95% of the crap they do is scripted, and the 5% they do "on their own" looks horrible. Guards running up to somebody they killed and saying "Some1s been murdered!" or "The body's still fresh..." or the conversations you hear people having. "Well, goodbye." "Be seeing you" *same people* "hello!" "Hi there!"

Thanks for that Hardcore, I had been wondering as well about what would happen if you tried getting in with console.

Things like that I just find too staged, surely if he's so all powerful he shouldn't be so easy to knock out anyhow!

I have 2 questions:

-Can Armor and Weapons be enchanted more than once. (i.e. 2 abilities)
--If so how?

-Are sigil stones the only way to enchant? Whats the other ways?

Good question. Wepons can have multiple enchantments. I currently have an ebony claymore with 100% weakness to shock and magicka and 35 shock damage. There is a little candel towards the bottum of the screen as long as the nuber next to the candel is bigger than the other number close to it you can still add other enchantments. I would recomend putting weaker enchantments first ie; weakness to fire then the bigger damage enchantments. The other way to enchant is with soul gems. But sigil stones are better for wore enchantments.

Soul gems need soul you get soul by casting soul trap and killing the moster in the aloted time. Make sure you know what type of soul a moster has and get the coresponding soul gem.
