Better journal

Post by deathm00n »

Is there any mod that make a better way to manage quests? One of the things that annoys me in morrowind is this damn journal, can't see clearly what I've already completed

Yes, there is.

I don't know exactly what it's called though. I'm just here to give you hope until someone who knows what they're talking about comes along.

Arukinns Better UI

Maybe this can help you? It edits the user interface, and the Journal a bit. It doesn't sound like what you're looking for though. :(

Yeah, it looks like that. I also saw another mod which made the text a higher resoultion or something, but I can't find that atm.
It sounds like you want a journal that has a better options/active quests/completed quests thing.

I seem to remember there being a way to toggle completed quests on, displaying them in grey font alongside your active quests in your journal.

EDIT: Yep, I checked it. Open your journal and click Options in the bottom left corner, then click Quests in the "drop down" menu. At the top of the menu (on the right page) there will be a header that says either "Show All" or "Show Active Quests". Clicking the header will change whether you want to display only your active quests or all quests. Completed quests will be shown in grey text.

EDIT AGAIN: I can't remember, but it may be that this feature wasn't incorporated until the release of the official morrowind patch or with the expansions. :?:

Ah, that sounds great. I'll have to use that when I next play... I didn't think you could actually see your completed quests in Morrowind at all so that helps me a lot. :)

It's definitely one of the expansions.
I have the official patch, but neither of the expansions, and I can't do it.

I've seen it in a screenshot and thought it was a mod, it must really be a expansion because I only have the basic game, thanks anyway

Ah, I suspected that to be the case. Sorry.

Of course, you guys could always just get the expansions, they're well worth it. :D
