MGSO 3.0 & Other Updates
The people behind the Morrowind Graphics and Sound Overhaul pack have a new website and have recently released a trailer to v3 of MGSO, which is said to be about to be released. Features of the 3.0 release are said to include the simplest installer the project has ever had, and improved functionality. The site also talks about further developments on the Morrowind Game Experience Overhaul pack, which is said to be still in development. Stay tuned guys.

Re: MGSO 3.0 & Other Updates
Ha ha... I remember having such a hard time trying to install 2.0.... I had to retry it something like 4 times before I got it right. I'm definitely looking forward to 4.0's release; it gives me a reason to return to Vvardenfell!

Juiced, 2.0 is really nice and I expect 3.0 to be the same.

Re: MGSO 3.0 & Other Updates
Haha Scoz, I keep an ear to the ground for new updates on these things. I'm subscribed to the MGSO and TR YouTube channels and I check their sites pretty regularly for new content, especially when I know they've got things in the works.
Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing how much more streamlined and simplified this install process will be, because I too had issues with installation of the original and 2.0 releases of MGSO. Also can't wait for them to release the MOGE so I can check it out.

Sounds awesome, but I'm wondering how much it will differ from the 2.0 release. Will there be many new mods added, or will it be mainly bugfixes and things of this nature?

Re: MGSO 3.0 & Other Updates
I haven't been able to find an official changelog or list of features as yet, but I would assume that, because the project is really mostly a compilation of mods from the Morrowind modding community, there won't be a lot of new content, other than new releases of other mods people have continued to work on, bugfixes, increased user-friendliness and greater ease of installation, plus the auto-updater. May not be entirely worth it for people already running on MGSO 2.0, but if it's easier to install it will probably be harder to install incorrectly, which may mean that users are able to actually get the optimum results from the pack which may have been difficult to achieve without being a little tech savvy previously, if that makes sense. Also certainly great for anyone new to Morrowind and/or Morrowind modding.

Thanks, Duruza. I had a similar feeling about the release. I'm mainly looking forward to the Gameplay overhaul, but I'm not crossing my fingers on that one (it may be quite a while). Nonetheless, I might take 3.0 for a spin just for curiosity's sake.

Just an update for anyone interested in what new functionality the 3.0 update will bring, MrMorrowindOverhaul just posted a video of the new AutoInstaller at work:

Looks smooth and incredibly well organized. I like how the installer is personified in the above video.

I'm getting a new computer pretty soon and I will finally be able to use MGSO, so that's really good news!
