I've only recently started playing Oblivion after having played Morrowind through a few times over several years. I've been searching through the Oblivion house plugins for one like 'A Good Place to Stay' which was a great little Morrowind one. But I've not found one.
Anyone out there who used the above Morrowind plugin will know the kind of thing I'm after and if they can recommend a similar one for Oblivion I would be grateful. I've got bored of searching!

Re: A house like 'A Good Place to Stay' from Morrowind
There is no articles on the UESP about a house in Morrowind called "A Good Place to Stay", are your sure you haven't acquired it from a mod?
Anyway, there is lots of great places to stay in Oblivion, just make sure wherever you put your equipment that loot will not respawn in three ingame days as you will lose your possessions in that container then.
Aleswell is always being recommended as a place to stay.
You could also stay at Isolated House in the West Weald.
Note: As you can read in the article an Oblivion Gate will spawn inside the house, however if you are not getting them opened from the start it will acts as a normal house/dungeon and two-three bandits will eventually try to occupy it, don't use the containers, but if you just throw stuff on the floor and so, it will act as a pretty good place to stay, IMO.
The person who wrote the article about the house on the UESP is ignorant, of course you'd wanna stay there, just don't use the containers and who doesn't like to have some company over? Either invite the bandits for tea or let them know what pain is

That's what the original post would imply. It would be better to ask on the MOD-Oblivion forum if you're looking for house mod suggestions, although you could probably find them one your own at TES Nexus.the Savage Hippie wrote:There is no articles on the UESP about a house in Morrowind called "A Good Place to Stay", are your sure you haven't acquired it from a mod?
The Isolated House is far from ideal. Respawning enemies, a lack of safe containers, far from civilisation, no map marker and the risk of having the place destroyed; you might as well live in a cave. I believe the article's advice is correct.the Savage Hippie wrote:The person who wrote the article about the house on the UESP is ignorant, of course you'd wanna stay there, just don't use the containers and who doesn't like to have some company over? @Legoless: The bandits, the non-marked location is pure fun! Far from civilization! Good for a hermit! But yes the containers are unstable, but not everyone is going through the main quest with each of their characters, so I think the argument about the house being destroyed is rather unsolid, but yeah, I get it.
Also, I read the OP as "plugin" not mod, so I thought about official mods, not user created... I agree that this would fit better in mod-Oblivion, though.

Re: A house like 'A Good Place to Stay' from Morrowind
Okay guys, thanks for the info. The Morrowind plugin 'a good place to stay' is easily found with a google. I was hoping someone on here had used it and found something similar in Oblivion.
Here is what I most liked about AGPTS: Alchemy containers. Absolutely wonderful. In one of the rooms at the back of the house were a row of bookcases and on the shelves the designer had placed pot shaped containers with a capacity of 100. These were alphabetically labelled for every ingredient in the game.
So maybe I should have asked: Is there a plugin that has a house with alchemy containers that are alphabetically labelled?

Not much I can give here, but Google with "oblivion house mods". There's plenty, although maybe not exactly what you look for. Chopping the jungle clears the way!
Best of luck.
