Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Skunk Ape, Yahoo, Yeti: Fact or Fiction?

Is Bigfoot a real thing? Is there actually a large, hairy, bipedal ape roaming the forests of the world? Or is it an elaborately constructed hoax, or indeed even mass hallucination? While there is a substantial body of eyewitness accounts, photographic evidence, and footprints on record, a legitimate specimen - or indeed, any part of the creature itself, if it even exists - is yet to be found.

Oh they're absolutely real. The reason we've never caught them conclusively on tape is because they've developed a form of sonar that is capable of detecting various forms of photography. Once they sense that they are being filmed or photographed, their long legs and large feet allow them to move at great speeds out of range of the cameras.

Parts of the New Jersey Pine Barrens are completely unexplored; in 1995, nearly a dozen new species were discovered in a single, small forest in Vietnam; the coelocanth and the dawn redwood were both, until the 20th century, thought to have been extinct for tens of millions of years; new species are found at a rate of nearly one every two days. I'm not saying that everything anyone's ever claimed to see is real, but you certainly can't tell me the possibility doesn't exist.

Of course I'm real, I already posted my opinions of photography in the GTD, the best thing is everybody is looking for me in the wrong place. Being serious, it is possible that Big Foot is real, highly unlikely as it may seem. Gideon there is an expedition in Texas this October to track down Big Foot, check out the Bigfoot Field Research Organization's website if you want to take part, they are also expeditioning in Norther California and Alberta Canada.

Right...Because they didn't...Why would we expect that every person who goes out with an aim to get a picture of Bigfoot is going to find one? I can go out with a camera right now, with the intention of a taking a picture of a white-tailed deer - a very common species, I might add - but am I guaranteed to get a picture of one? In fact, am I even likely to get a picture of one? No.

Now, consider the insane number of Bigfoot sightings reported - somewhere in the neighborhood of five hundred every year, of which roughly one hundred of those are documented enough to be considered solid - and how can you use that as your arguement?

Reported sightings aren't applicable evidence, IMO.
I can say that I just saw Bigfoot mating with a Yeti while Obama sang Star Spangled Banner in my bedroom, but that only makes me a lying troll or a madman. If a large group of people say they saw that as well, that just makes a large group of lying trolls or madmen.
All lying trolls need is the delusional belief of one man to make a myth or legend, and all normal people need is a myth or legend to make anything strange look like a myth or legend, such as bigfoot.

Matter of fact, here, have a whole bunch of documentary evidence concerning the existence of white-tailed deer.

YOU may not have a good chance at snapping a picture of a white-tailed deer. But you get thousands of white-tailed deer enthusiasts, working for a century a more looking for these things, and you're going to get a couple pictures. A few more than a couple, actually. Well, you saw the Google results! You know why this is? It's because white-tailed deer exist.

I hate to say it, but Cam's right on this one. (don't make a habit of being right, Cam.)

Actually, a google server full of photos of deer are still awful evidence that they exist. There are loads of images of unicorns, too.

That dead deer on the side of the road, covered in flies and blood, now that's some good evidence. Some yeti roadkill would make a very compelling case for their existence. Til then, I'm going to chalk it up to idiots who don't know what a bear looks like.

Consider this: If a group of, say, one hundred people decided to split up and disappear into the wilderness, assuming they were capable off surviving of the land, I think it's safe to say they'd never be found unless they wanted to be. Now, what about a similar number of humanoid apes, of not equal, but still very similar intelligence, with generations of experience of living without being found. Under those circumstances, I find it amazing that there's been as many sightings as there have.

Alright, allow me to make a couple of (logical) assumptions: That Bigfoot, if it does indeed exist, has intelligence similar to a chimpanzee, or one of the other great apes and it has lived in North America at least as long as the North American Indians.

My friend said it in the perfect sarcastic tone possible and I knew why. He was with the conspiracy theorist friend who read about it on the news. It was that guy that claimed to have found it right off i-95 in Georgia.

But I honestly don't care if big foot is real. I'll still have to spray paint signs in a hot ass spray booth in FL and try to build an online empire. Unless big foot tries to stop me, then I will take interest.

If it had intelligence similar to a chimpanzee, it would not be capable of remaining hidden for so long. By pure accident, maybe. But since there have been several "spottings" but no discoveries since colonial times, I have to assume the creature does not exist.
