Frosty, when you start drinking you'll understand that some drinks are just more shamefully feminine than others.

@Ragnarok That's an interesting way of putting it. Would you say that I've taken a hit of neurotoxin every time I've eaten a chip?

depends on the measurable adverse affects. what does your BAC rise to after consuming a bag of Lays or Ruffles?

How do you people deal with drinking white or rose wines? they are so bloody foul, I like a nice Red with a hint of cherry or chocolate... tis beautiful stuff. White wine all tastes similar to me... kind of chemically, and it nearly always gives me guts ache.

Also, there is this weird thing about drinks being feminine but I would personally rather get drunk while enjoying the beverage in front of me. I still remember the days when we use to down cheap vodka... eurgh.

I've tried wine a few times, doesn't appeal to me. I'm not sure what it is. White or red, neither one does anything for me, and some of them have been downright nasty to me. Think I'll stick with beer, thanks.

Red wine tastes goddamn awful. There are no redeeming qualities - it just sucks ass. I actually like white wine quite a lot though. You can down it easily, it's cheap, and its taste doesn't remind me of a truck stop bathroom.

Yeah, and I disagree as you should have gathered.

Part of education is to give them the information and let them test it, in practice.

If I may...?

I drink alcohol because I like the taste of alcholic drinks. Hence why I don't drink red wine and my favourite lager is Red Stripe. Actually no, scratch that, my favourite lager is Super Bock. It's kind of considered a family ritual in Portugal. If you pass the Bock test you're one of the family. You're not allowed more than half a small bottle until you're taller than four and a half feet, though. Something to do with blood saturation. Anyway I was accepted into the family at age 6 thanks to my Viana-family-level poison resistance.

what part of a steak is inherently toxic enough to the body to produce a buzz?

I'll only drink wine when I'm already after a few.

As for Corona, meh, 'tis grand. I wouldn't buy it but I'd definitely drink it. I've heard that the lime wedge is not for flavouring, but was actually used by Mexicans to keep flies out of the bottle. Still, lime does compliment it. Anyone like abbey beers such as Hoegaarden(not pronounced how you'd probably think) or Leffe? Strong flavour but absolutely delish.

Stop naming fallacies where there are none to be found. Pretending to know what you're talking about is just that - pretending. I'll go back to ignoring your inane rambling after I address this, but how was his argument a false equivalency when he didn't say they were equivocal? He compared them. And that's because the steak analogy works. As I mentioned earlier, people weigh the health risks from an action against the enjoyment it will bring. Eating lots of red meat will increase your chances of developing stomach and colon cancer, but most people think it tastes great, and is worth it. That's all there is to it.
