Clearly you think that's the key message of the story, but I don't. Pets in the West have more affection and resources showered on them through the multibillion dollar animal services sector than people do nowadays.

All while crazy old cat ladies, enviro-"mental" activists and disaffected college students wage a two-year, multithousand dollar harassment campaign against the fine folks on the commission, who only have the public safety at heart (and apparently, a national law called the "Dangerous Dog Act"). All that energy and money could have gone toward staving off the soul-crushing hunger of African kids for a few months, or more precisely, the food shipments would have been intercepted by African tribal warlords, who would then recruit the starving kids into their armed forces, and then feed them the charity rations. Besides, the UK already bans all sorts of other dangers to the public, like drugs, firearms, blades over three inches, and so on. The public deserves to be protected from maulings by rabid canines, as well. Criminals are smuggling these animals in against the law and giving them shelter. Lennox got plush treatment: a two-year stay in a kennel while its appeals were going through. That's what, 15 in dog years? Even humans don't get 15 years on death row, so don't try to tell me it was treated inhumanely. In conclusion, if pitbulls must be tolerated at all, place them behind safe zoo fences, like we do with other dangerous beasts.
He wasn't a Pitbull, and he did NOTHING WRONG. Under our Dangerous Dogs act, if the Pet has an owner, and hasn't attacked anyone, it's fine.

If a dog is the carrier of rabies or it is trained to maul other dogs and people than by all accounts, the canine is a danger.

Still, before you put down such dog an inquiry should be done on the owner if the animal has one. When justice is dealth first to the owner than and only than the animal should be put down.

On a side note, no dog breed is inherintly dangerous or evil. The ones who are dangerous and evil are the owners. I had a dobermann, a rottweiler an a full batch od german pinchers (the medium ones) and I had no incidents with them, not with people nor with other dogs. It all comes down to the owner, he is the only one to be responsabile for his dog, none other.

If the dog is percived as a dangerous animal than the owner has the responsability to educate such dog and keep him always on eyes.

The breed of a dog isn't an accurate indication of whether or not it's dangerous, but that doesn't mean all breeds are equally aggressive. Some breeds are more dangerous then others, since they've been bred for fighting or hunting purposes over many years.

I could see it in such a case, but it was not, nor is there any Rabies in the British Isles.

And yes, a Dog only does what it's taught, it's not out of the ordinary to see a Pitbull as a Family pet, or a Golden Lab maul someone. In any case, the owner of an attack dog should be put down, at least the Dog can be rehabilitated

I've heard they're magical delicious.

I don't have much to add that I didn't say in the last dangerous dog thread, or that hasn't already been said here. The dog's owners/trainers are just as responsible as the dogs, as well as the "victim". A perfectly well trained, good behaved dog can get just as aggressive as a man-eater if provoked enough. Look at all sides of the story first.

They're Leprechaun food. The US stole the formula from the Leprechaun High King a few years back and we've managed to maintain global power because of it.

It's a cereal made of cardboard and sugar, combined with something they call "marshmallows" which are actually kind of crunchy, formed into cute pastel colored shapes.

I don't like dogs, so maybe that's why I fail to see the problem with the law being carried out.

I agree, so I'm going to throw you in prison, sentence you to death, and send some of your remains to your family, who will never see you alive since your arrest; all for looking like you are of the ethnicity of a known serial killer
And no matter if experts and two of the country's largest associations centered around this subject say the law is nutter butters
And deciding that despite offers to remove you as a threat through relocation, that you must be used as an example to the public and wonder why I receive death threats

While I'm not a huge dog lover, have had some of my pets maimed by untrained, aggressive breeds of dog, and think laws should be harsher against offenders that knowingly raise dogs into these mental states...this just sounds stupid

TL;DR - if you have the nads to enforce a law like this, you should be willing to penalize the owners as criminals with all the ramifications of false sentencing if you're wrong

I am shocked and appalled that no one has done a Frau Farbissina impression yet.
"It's a television commercial. With this cartoon leprechaun, and all of these children are trying to chase him. 'Hey, leprechaun, leprechaun man, we want to get your lucky charms.' Oh! And there are these little tiny pieces of marshmallow just stuck right in the cereal. So when the kids eat them they think, 'Oooh— this is candy, I'm having fun!'"
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.

Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.
