Cure My Disease

Post by Ronnie Cougar »

I'm a wizard, I'm always a wizard in these games. I'm a very righteous wizard. A wizard like me should be able to cure his own diseases with his very own cure disease spell. A real wizard doesn't need potions and scrolls - he just wills everything to happen. So if the cure disease spell exists please let me know which town it's sold in. I think I have a few more temples I haven't checked but that's about it.

Well, actually an extremely righteous wizard would be immune to diseases all together. But he's still learning the ways of the will, so we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Cure disease is in the school of restoration, as said in your instruction booklet, so I believe that the aforementioned link will guide you to the correct mages guild.

Nice guess but the spell isn't at the Anvil (restoration) guild, checked there a million times. Found it at one of the temples last night (Chorrol or Anvil, don't remember)

Next Question - Reward for the Sheograth (daedric quest) is the staff Wabbajack (effect is "Wabbajack on target"). It turned a few liches into Skeletons for a couple seconds, but I'm not really sure what exactly this thing does.

In the imperial city Mage tower area (LOL can't think of the real name  ) you can buy the spell from one of the guys in the outer buildings (again sorry for not being too specific) like the place you make your own spells is my best guess.

Just turns creatures into a diff kind of creature for a limited time. Supposedly at higher levels this means that you can often turn a difficult beastie into something far easier to kill. Alternatively you could land up facing something far more difficult to kill.

I've only recently got it and tried it on the shrine followers, but it didn't work on them, only resulted in them attacking me!

Wabbajack works only on "monsters", not on "NPCs".
If you use it against one of the strongest enemies, the chance it would turn into something even stronger is insignificantly low.

Cure Disease requires restoration skill 50. Otherwise, raw mandrake is cheap, light and just as efficient as potions.

‘Twas an odiferous song
People sang before long
They had enough of his full crescent moons.
