The names thread

Post by Frost Mage »

What are some great names you've come up with in any TES game? I just created a Nord Warrior, naming him Valunr. What are your best names you've come up with so far?

Argonian:
Daz-marr (altered from 'does-more'. Signifies a highly morally kind person, who does more than the basics of kindness)
Khull (not like the town, but as in 'cool', a calm headed person)

And yeah, I only play as Argonian.

My characters right now are all named;

Breton
Fianna Woodcroft

Khajiit
Zaka'Dar

Orc
Mazoga (no last name; she was raised by Imperials and opts out of adding an Orcish or Imperial name.)

Nord
Aeta [the Faithful]

Dark Elf
... I actually forget right now. I just made them. I'll edit when I find out.

Rest assured, as I roleplay, each name is lore-friendly!

Well I'm not very good at making names according to my character's race, but I've really liked a few.

Argonian

Be'olta (Bay-uul-tah)

Altmer

Jirzine (As I stated, it's not very Altmer esque)
Iouthir
Laarvil

Dunmer

Iousi

I made a lot of Characters in Oblivion but it is difficult to remember and most of them were on my old Broken 360 so I couldn't find them even if I wanted too.
I notice a lot of you like to use the Tamrielic worded (or whatever they are called) Argonian names, I was never really a fan of them but you guys have some pretty good ones 8D

Out of all the races, I think the Argonians have the coolest names. One of my Oblivion characters was an Argonian named Travels-Far.

My two characters:

Felina Imhatius, she is an Imperial. The name Felina was common in Renaissance Italy and I think its pretty, so I chose it with a Roman sounding last name.

Sylmirie, she is my Altmer. Altmer typically don't have surnames. My first mage was named Sylvia....so I used the Syl and paired it Mirie an Altmer name from Oblivion, I believe. They sounded nice together so that is the name I gave her. :-)

Can't remember every name but one of the bests, from the top of my head, was "Shut-His-Eyes" for an Argonian.

Now, if this is one of the bests... Just imagine the worst.
