Is there any reason why getting cheap, illegal weed would be harder if weed was legal? My intuition makes me think the opposite would be true.

Neither of them explain why it'd be harder to buy weed of some street dealer if it was deemed a medicine, and I can't think of any reason why it would be. Unless even more obscene amounts of money were put into arresting and stopping people who illegally grow weed, you'd just have the same situation you have now, but with legal growers simultaneously.

You're right, I didn't notice that glaring flaw. I take back my blatantly non-satirical argument.

What's also silly is that you can't inject weed. The entire thing was silly. You pointing out one aspect of it made you look silly for looking like you took it seriously.

now how about some facts

"3 hospitalized when pot brownies served at funeral"

"Seniors Sickened by Pot Brownies at Funeral"

* Sept 15, 2008 - Suspected members of the Zetas drug gang tossed grenades into a crowd celebrating Mexico's independence day in the western city of Morelia, killing eight people and wounding more than 100.
* Jan 31, 2010 - Suspected cartel assailants killed 13 high school students and two adults at a party in Ciudad Juarez across from El Paso, Texas.
* March 13 - Hitmen killed three people linked to the U.S. Consulate in Ciudad Juarez in March, provoking "outrage" from U.S. President Barack Obama.
* June 28 - Suspected cartel gunmen shot and killed a popular gubernatorial candidate in the northern state of Tamaulipas in the worst cartel attack on a politician to date. Rodolfo Torre, 46, and four aides from the opposition Institutional Revolutionary Party, or PRI, were ambushed on their way to a campaign event for the July 4 state election.
* July 18 - Gunmen burst into a birthday party in the northern city of Torreon, using automatic weapons to kill 17 party-goers and wound 18 others. Mexican authorities said later those responsible were incarcerated cartel hitmen let out of jail by corrupt officials. The killers allegedly borrowed weapons and vehicles from prison guards and later returned to their cells.
* July 24 - Police unearthed 51 bodies in a grave outside Mexico's business capital, Monterrey, in northern Mexico over several days. Some corpses were burned beyond recognition.
* Aug 25 - Marines found the bodies of 58 men and 14 women at a ranch near the Gulf of Mexico in Tamaulipas state, 90 miles from the Texas border, after a firefight with drug hitmen in which three gunmen and a marine died.
* April, 2011. Officials unearthed the first of what turned out to be more than 450 bodies buried in mass graves in the northern states of Durango and Taumalipas.

None of those things are a direct side effect of smoking pot. Those are all a direct effect of criminals using pot to gain profit. Believe me, there is a difference.

you asked for hard evidence, facts, references and sources. there they are. deal with it. pot is addictive. pot is harmful. pot gets people killed, every day ... pot is not "harmless" ...

Did pot ride into your village on a horse when you were a child, set fire to the houses, rape the women and kill the men?

I'm just trying to understand what crazy [&@%!] you must have been through to have such a warped perspective on the drug. None of the crimes you mentioned were a result of the drug itself, they were a result of the drug being illegal. Shouldn't you... uh... want it to be legalised, or something, to stop people getting killed every day by the thugs involved in trafficking and organised crime?

Right, which is why it makes so much sense to keep a nearly harmless drug illegal and therefore a rather large source of money for criminals.

So basically Ragnarok is talking about the same thing that happen because of Alcohol prohibition back... whenever it happened.

People wanted it and went through unlawful means to get it. When Alcohol was made the legal, it all stopped.
