Breaking Bad

Why hasn't anyone made this thread already? Undoubtedly one of the best shows of all time, and the latest season comes out in less than two weeks. Get it together, UESP.

The beginning of the show is kinda slow, and you should probably force yourself to watch the first five episodes or so, even if you're not that interested, because after that, it just kicks your ass every which way.

Good show, but I'm so bad at keeping up with TV that I haven't seen past the first season. It's got the Curb Your Enthusiasm appeal of "I want to see what level of unlucky the protagonist gets into next".

Are you mad? During the week of my first-year exams, I watched every single episode. I think the normal time for me to go to sleep was like 8am.

If you've seen all of the first season, I'm kinda surprised you didn't get hooked. It gets way, way better during the last two seasons, but you'd have to already be invested in it.

No, you just don't understand my TV thought process. "I'm hooked" means I'll finish the first series then get round to watching the rest of the show at a much later date. Game Of Thrones has been pretty much the only exception to that rule in a while.

Currently on the second season. The show's great and all, but it can be a little slow. These past couple of episodes were a blast though, happy that it started to kick up. Gonna finish it sooner or later, since I've got so many shows on my schedule.

I have started to watch Breaking Bad and it is brilliant. One of the best show on tv. I am currently on S2 Ep 07 and it really is engrossing. I presume that in the end something will have to be done about Walter's brother being a member of the police force.

Yeah it goes without saying that Hank's relations with the police force interferes a lot with Walt's meth dealing. And vice-versa.

Just wait until you get to the end of the first part of S05.

I can't believe we have to wait for a few more months for the second part of the fifth season. :(

I've only been able to see the first 4 seasons, but thanks to some horrible friends, I've gotten a lot of Season 5 stuff spoiled. So I (sadly) know what you're talking about when referring to the end of Season 5 (part 1).

Just started watching this show here and there, on the third episode. It's amazing how they convey the fact that Walt is just a random guy who got into this extremely risky and always-on-your-toes business, I really feel like I could relate to his actions at any given time because he really is just a regular guy who has over the past few days begun cooking meth and cleaning out dissolved remains of human tissue.

I have to say, without giving anything away, but so far through Season 2 Walter's actions have become quite shocking. I can only presume it will get worse. That's why I like this show though, it is intriguing to see how these seemingly normal people deal with the situation they are in and how it changes them.

You're right, I'm on the 4th season and I'm just waiting for the next catastrophe to happen, since it's been pretty slow for a couple episodes. :D

I made one last season, but nobody cared.

Anyway, everyone watch this. There are no spoilers, and it neatly illustrates why BB is the best show on TV.

Almost done with the 5th season that just came out on Netflix. 8 episodes? Please, that's a night of watching the show, and now we have to wait until next year to get the first half of season 6 on Netflix, or figure out a way to watch it before then...

These latest episodes are actually the second half of season 5. The show airs on AMC Sunday nights, and you can buy the episodes to watch a couple days after on Amazon Video and Xbox Video.

My brother insisted we would watch this show, so for the past months we've been watching it with the family (including mom and dad) and we're all big fans. It's going at a slower pace, but we're currently near the end of S03 and we're loving it. Normally I'm not a big fan of American television but Breaking Bad is really, really good.

No. Everyone is billing the second half of season 5 as season 6. Season 5 is the last season.
