As for me, I have only used Jarl Idgrod and Razelan, who both made me chuckle, but Idgrod a little bit more so, besides earning a few respect points from me for being able to approach her unique abilities with a sense of humour.

The party pooper of choice
Just curious whose assistance you used to create a distraction at the Thalmor party during the Diplomatic Immunity quest and whose scene you found the most entertaining. Possible spoilers.

There are actually several more choices you can use, based on who you've helped. The last time I played through it, I'd already done the Stormcloak questline and so the only guest was Erikur. I used him as a distraction with the Bosmer waitress, which was quite entertaining.

Re: The party pooper of choice
I didn't realize you could use anyone other than the person I picked (Who I can't remember, it was so long ago. I think he was a Redgaurd?).
I'm going to have to create a new character just to see everyone else as a distraction.

Re: The party pooper of choice
I dont ever remember having a choice besides Erikur and Razelan. How do you secure the others help? I did all Maven related quests, and was head of the Thieves guild and never had her as an option. She just told me she didnt want to be seen with me lol

Re: The party pooper of choice
As far as I remember from reading the Wiki, it depends on whether you've done quests for the NPC in question plus your Speech skill. I am pretty sure that in my game Idgrod was available because I had done Laid to Rest and thus boosted her disposition towards my player character.rpbraley868 wrote:I dont ever remember having a choice besides Erikur and Razelan. Interestingly enough, the table listing the guests in the corresponding Wiki article states that Maven will have to offer a distraction 'if she likes you', which is rather vague, but I assume you have to influence her disposition, and since this is achieved by completing tasks, one can't but wonder why you didn't get the option to get her to help you. Could be a bug.

I usually use Idgrod Ravencrone, Erikur, or Razelan.
It's a fun quest, I reckon.

Re: The party pooper of choice
That would be Razelan.DikaSmausha wrote:I just use the guy who wants a drink (forget his name)
Incidentally, I have not used anyone apart from him either, until recently, when I was suddenly enlightened to the fact that there are other NPCs who have the distraction option available. I guess Razelan would be the most obvious option because he is the first guest you come across and there are no previous requirements to secure his help, save for getting a drink.

Ondolemar makes an amusing scene, in haughty Shakesperian dialogue.
I almost always use the Redguard guy, because in my other playthroughs he's been the only one available to me.

Sounds intriguing.Pilaf The Defiler wrote:Ondolemar makes an amusing scene, in haughty Shakesperian dialogue.
I am planning to try it out during the current playthrough - I even went against my moral scruples and ratted out poor Ogmund, just for the sake of getting ol' Lemmie to like my character. This better be good.

At first I picked Razelan. Then Erikur and after that Ondolemar.
Not at the same time and it didn't happened with the same character.

No videos of Idgrod's distraction on youtube. The internet's got some grave issues with priority.
